How to fix the Alt Tabbing issue

First, we want to navigate to Windows settings. Open start up menu and click the gear icon to access settings.

Then, head over to the Gaming tab. If you are on Windows 11, it may look a little bit different but steps are the same.

Then, click on Game Mode and make sure you switch Game Mode to OFF. This causes all sorts of issues and as of last VALORANT updates it worsens the performance of the game.

Then, go to your desktop and right click, then head over to NVIDIA Control Panel.

From NVIDIA Control Panel you want to head to Manage 3d settings and copy the settings shown in the pictures. This will fix many issues and improve overall game performance by a lot.

Finally, open VALORANT and head over to “Video” then to “General” and copy the settings shown. This will ensure everything is proper set for you to switch between tabs with no issues or performance lost.

And that’s it! You should restart your PC and try out VALORANT again. See if it still freezes or causes any distributions when switching between tabs.
