The roll-out of the Max Monday weekly feature continues with Dynamax Sneasel taking over Power Spots globally on October 19, 2026. Running from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM local time, this one-day showcase increases Power Spot density and accelerates refresh timers, giving players ample opportunities to catch high-IV Dynamax variants.

Here is how to defeat Dynamax Sneasel in tier-one and tier-three Max Battles, the best counters to deploy, and why this species holds long-term raid value.

Event Schedule & Mechanics

  • Featured Window: Monday, October 19, 2026, from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM local time.

  • Power Spot Rotation: Power Spots refresh faster throughout the day, ensuring players do not run out of nearby nodes.

  • Max Particle Cost: Entering a Sneasel Max Battle requires 250 to 400 Max Particles, collected from walking or interacting with Power Spot markers.

  • Shiny Availability: Dynamax Sneasel can be caught in its Shiny form upon defeating the encounter.

Best Fighting Type Counters Against Dynamax Sneasel in Pokemon GO

Best Counters for Dynamax Sneasel

Sneasel features a dual Dark/Ice typing. This gives it a devastating four-times vulnerability to Fighting-type attacks, alongside secondary weaknesses to Bug, Fairy, Fire, Rock, and Steel.

Because Max Battles only permit players to field Pokémon already unlocked in the Dynamax system, your counter team must draw from currently available Max rosters:

  1. Dynamax Machamp (Counter / Dynamic Punch): The absolute premier choice. Machamp's Fighting fast move charges the Max meter rapidly, and Max Knuckle deals massive four-times damage that cuts through Sneasel's HP bar in minimal cycles.

  2. Dynamax Charizard (Fire Spin / Blast Burn): Capitalizes on Sneasel's Fire weakness while resisting Ice-type incoming attacks.

  3. Dynamax Metagross (Bullet Punch / Meteor Mash): High natural defense that resists both Ice Shard and Foul Play while dealing reliable Steel-type damage.

Why You Should Farm Dynamax Sneasel

Beyond adding another entry to your Dynamax Dex, Sneasel evolves into Weavile using 50 Candy and a Sinnoh Stone. A Dynamax Weavile provides top-tier Dark- and Ice-type offensive output, positioning it as an essential future attacker when Psychic-, Ghost-, and Dragon-type Legendary Pokémon debut in higher-tier Max Raids.
