Jynxzi Banned from League of Legends, Then Given New Account by Riot

Jynxzi was temporarily taken out of League of Legends after receiving a permanent ban for buying a leveled account.

The incident happened on April 17, shortly after Riot developer Drew Levin reminded players that account buying is still against the rules.

Leveled accounts are often purchased to skip early progression, but Riot has long enforced strict policies against account trading and boosting.

Stream reaction and admission

After the ban, Jynxzi addressed the situation live on stream and admitted he had bought leveled accounts.

He explained that he was trying to play in lower-ranked matches for content and didn’t intend to negatively impact other players’ games.

Riot steps in with a replacement

Not long after the ban, things took an unexpected turn. Drew Levin reached out directly after watching the stream and offered a solution.

Jynxzi was told to check his email, where Riot’s creator team had provided him with a fresh account.

This meant he was able to jump back into the game almost immediately despite the original permanent ban. Something a casual, normal player, would not be able to do.

Community reaction 

The situation quickly sparked debate online, especially around how rules are applied.

Some players questioned why a high-profile streamer was given a second chance so quickly,

while others pointed out that account buying is clearly against the terms of service. Overall, nobody is happy.

Riot Games has not released an official statement addressing this specific case.
