GTA 6 Feature Leaked

Grand Theft Auto VI is still largely a mystery, but a former Rockstar Games developer believes it may borrow features from Red Dead Redemption 2.
Rob Carr, who worked on both Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, suggested that Rockstar often reuses and evolves mechanics across its games.
Speaking in an interview, Carr said he would be “surprised” if GTA 6 doesn’t include elements inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2.
Rockstar Has Done This Before
According to Carr, Rockstar has a history of adapting features between titles.
He pointed out that GTA 5 already borrowed ideas similar to Red Dead’s systems. For example, character-specific abilities in GTA 5 resemble mechanics like the Dead Eye system, which slows down time for precision actions.
- Michael’s slow-motion shooting ability
- Franklin’s slow-motion driving
- Trevor’s aggressive “berserk” mode
These show how Rockstar adapts core ideas rather than copying them directly.
What Could Carry Over From Red Dead 2
While nothing is confirmed, several features from Red Dead Redemption 2 could fit into GTA 6:
- Random encounters that make the world feel more alive
- Reputation or honor systems influencing how NPCs react
- Safehouse-style systems similar to camps
- Weapon maintenance or realism features
Given that GTA 6 reportedly focuses on criminal protagonists, systems like reputation or evolving world interactions could translate well into a modern setting.
Nothing Confirmed Yet
Carr did not reveal any specific features that are guaranteed to appear, and Rockstar has not officially confirmed any gameplay details.
However, based on the studio’s history and Red Dead Redemption 2’s success, it seems likely that some of its most popular mechanics will influence the design of GTA 6.
