GTA 6 Online Release Date Leaked

With May approaching, fans once expected to be in the final stretch before Grand Theft Auto 6 launched. That changed when the release date was pushed back to November 19, 2026.
Since the delay, anticipation has only grown. Some players are planning to dive straight into the story, while others are already thinking ahead to the online experience and how it will evolve in Vice City.
Multiplayer Likely Won’t Launch Day One
Rockstar has a history of separating single-player and multiplayer releases. Both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 introduced their online modes after the main game launched.
Because of that, many fans assumed GTA 6 would follow the same approach rather than releasing everything at once.
Leak Points to December Release
According to gaming insider GhostOfHope, GTA 6 Online may arrive about a month after the base game. In a post shared on April 8, he said the current plan is to launch multiplayer within weeks of release.
If that timeline holds, players could see GTA 6 Online drop in December 2026.
He also pushed back on rumors suggesting a simultaneous release, referencing the troubled launch of GTA Online in 2013 as something Rockstar would likely want to avoid repeating.
Rockstar and Take-Two Stay Quiet
So far, Take-Two has not shared many details about the future of GTA Online. The company has only confirmed that the current version will remain active as long as there is enough player demand.
This leaves plenty of room for speculation about what the next iteration will look like.
Big Expectations for GTA 6 Online
There are also claims that GTA 6 could significantly expand user-generated content. Some insiders believe the new tools could go far beyond what players saw in GTA V, especially when it comes to roleplay servers and custom experiences.
If true, the next version of GTA Online could be much more than just an upgrade.
