Confirmed Features GTA 6 Will Have

Rockstar Games has confirmed that some leaked information about Grand Theft Auto VI is legitimate, following a wave of employee dismissals linked to confidential data leaks.

The company recently addressed the situation while explaining why several developers were fired across different regions. According to reports, staff in the UK, US, and India were let go between 2023 and 2025 over alleged leaks related to unannounced projects.

Rockstar stated it enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy when it comes to sharing internal information, the leaks we love, are actually highly despised by the Rockstar team.  They say the firings were a result of gross misconduct involving sensitive material being passed to third parties.

Timeline of leaks and internal action

The confirmed firings span multiple years. One employee in Lincoln, UK was dismissed in April 2025 after allegedly sharing GTA 6 details that later appeared online. Another case in the US dates back to 2023, while a separate incident in India occurred in late 2025.

These actions line up with several major leaks that circulated online over time, some of which are now believed to be more credible after Rockstar’s comments.

Character details and gameplay leaks gain credibility

One of the most discussed leaks came from a user known as Gameroll, who shared early details about GTA 6 characters Jason and Lucia.

Some of this information included their full names, which later appeared consistent with official trailer reveals.

The same source also claimed players would be able to switch between playing Jason, Lucia, or both together during gameplay. Other reported details included:

• Over 700 accessible stores, including malls
• Robbable locations across the map
• Male and female strip club dancers
• Vehicle trunks functioning like storage in Red Dead Redemption 2
• A return of the 6-star Wanted level
• Expanded gore and dismemberment systems

Not everything will be there, but it sets the ground for some of the expectations we have. Like Dual-wielding weapons or more.
