Red Dead Redemption 2 Actor Confirms Small GTA 6 Role

Rockstar Games is still keeping most details about GTA 6 under wraps, but fans may have finally identified one of the actors involved in the game.

Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026. While Rockstar has released two trailers and several screenshots, major details about the story, characters, and cast remain a mystery.

The actors playing protagonists Jason and Lucia have not been officially revealed, despite years of theories and online speculation. The same is true for many of the supporting characters who have appeared throughout the promotional footage.

That changed slightly on June 11 when an actor known for his work in Red Dead Redemption 2 appeared to confirm that he has a minor part in GTA 6.

RDR2’s Pearson Actor Says He Worked on GTA 6

Jim Santangeli, who voiced camp cook Simon Pearson in Red Dead Redemption 2, discussed the upcoming game during a TikTok livestream.

The beginning of the conversation was not recorded, but footage captured a viewer named Zane asking Santangeli whether he would be appearing in GTA 6 in a small role.

Santangeli confirmed it, replying that it was only a “little small bit.”

He also mentioned that the only Grand Theft Auto game he had played was “Miami,” which was likely a reference to GTA: Vice City.

A recording of the exchange was later shared on Reddit. The person who posted it explained that Santangeli had already been discussing his minor GTA 6 role when they entered the livestream.

After hearing the actor mention the game, they asked him to clarify his involvement, resulting in the brief confirmation captured in the clip.

Santangeli did not reveal who he plays or how significant the character will be. Still, the comment gives fans one of the first apparent casting confirmations for GTA 6 and suggests Rockstar may once again feature actors who previously worked on Red Dead Redemption 2.
