VALORANT Receives Backlash Over Last Bundle

Valorant players aren’t too thrilled about the new Cyrax bundle, with some calling it “trash” and comparing its design to Halo’s famous Needler.
Since Valorant launched in 2020, Riot Games has been stepping up its game when it comes to cosmetics. While you can’t get skins for individual Agents, the variety of weapon skins is massive, with tons of unique designs to choose from.
With the latest update and the introduction of Waylay, Riot has dropped a new bundle, Cyrax. But instead of excitement, many players are drawing comparisons to another franchise, Halo.
Valorant fans aren’t sold on the Cyrax bundle
The Cyrax bundle gives a crystal-covered makeover to the Vandal, Guardian, Ghost, and Stinger, and its resemblance to Halo’s Needler hasn’t gone unnoticed.
“That’s literally the gun from Halo,” a player commented. Someone else added, “How do they make the Needler look this bad in so many different versions?”
Not everyone was amused, though. Many players kept mentioning how the bundle is "garbage" and "unoriginal" which is not something that happens often with Riot's skin launches.
Although lately, it seems to be the case considering fans were also unhappy with the VCT Karambit bundle released earlier in 2025—especially given its price.
With similar complaints now surrounding the Cyrax bundle, Riot might need to rethink its approach to skins moving forward.
