Valorant EMEA Is Into More Trouble

The Valorant EMEA scene is having a rough time, and players are speaking out louder than ever. What’s happening now isn’t new, it’s just the same problems that have been around since the very start of franchising, and people are tired of waiting for things to get better.

The Problem Escalates

One of the biggest complaints? The gear. Players have been saying for years that the monitors and PCs they’re using just aren’t good enough. The monitors have been a point of frustration for a long time, and every time players ask about it, they get a different excuse.

Even worse, the PCs aren’t properly set up either, settings keep changing, the game stutters like crazy during matches, and tech checks barely fix anything. Most of the time, players are told to just keep going, even when the game is lagging badly.

Things hit a new low this week when Riot decided players would have to compete online on stage with 30 ping, even though many players get much better connection from home.

To make things worse, the EMEA region is being treated differently compared to others. While other regions have newer, better setups, players in EMEA are stuck with old equipment, and when they complain, they’re told, “Well, League of Legends doesn’t have this problem.” As if that helps.

Fans and players also got another surprise when Riot removed the crowd for Wednesday matches, without even telling the players first.

Some rookies made their big debut without a live crowd to cheer them on, and many fans who traveled to see their favorite teams were left disappointed.

Riot Responds

In an official statement, Riot admitted to “significant and ongoing technical issues” at the Berlin arena and announced that today’s VCT EMEA matches would be postponed.

They promised a full refund for anyone who bought tickets and said they’ll update the community once a new match day is set.

Hopefully, this means that Riot will finally start taking action to fix the ongoing issues and fulfill their promise by changing the hardware to be more suitable for high level gaming.
