How qualification works
Teams qualify by either:
-
Placing in the top two of their league in Stage 2.
-
Ranking among the top two in Championship Points for their region. Points come from placements in Kickoff, Stages 1 and 2, and Masters events.
VCT Americas
-
G2 Esports qualified first after Masters Toronto. Their strong points lead came from winning both Kickoff and Stage 1, finishing second at Masters Bangkok, and reaching Top 4 in Toronto. Led by Nathan “leaf” Orf, they are among the tournament favorites.
-
Sentinels qualified second on August 2 after three straight Stage 2 wins. They also secured enough points despite losing Tyson “TenZ” Ngo. They finished second in both Kickoff and Stage 1 and remain one of the region’s strongest teams.
VCT EMEA
-
Fnatic became the first EMEA team to qualify, securing their spot through circuit points. They won Stage 1, finished second at Masters Toronto, and later lost to Team Heretics at the Esports World Cup.
VCT Pacific
-
Paper Rex qualified as the first Pacific team after winning Masters Toronto. This was their first international title in nearly five years of competition. They also placed Top 3 in Stage 1, securing enough points for Paris.
