Valorant Adds Warden Rifle in Patch 13.06

Riot Games is expanding Valorant’s arsenal with the Warden, a new rifle arriving alongside the Glitched game mode in Patch 13.06.

New weapons are still relatively rare in Valorant. Riot introduced the Bandit pistol in January, which was the game’s first weapon addition since the Outlaw sniper arrived in 2024.

Players have been asking for another rifle in particular, and the Warden is Riot’s answer. It will compete with the Vandal and Phantom while offering a different option for players who prefer using Aim Down Sights.

Valorant’s Warden rifle explained

The Warden will cost 2,900 credits, placing it at the same price point as Valorant’s two main rifles.

What makes it stand out is its built-in scope. Riot says the weapon is designed to provide more flexibility during full-buy rounds while delivering high damage from the opening shot.

Its scope also makes the Warden a stronger ADS choice than other rifles. This could appeal to players who enjoy holding longer angles but do not want to spend their credits on a dedicated sniper rifle.

The Warden is not intended to replace the Vandal or Phantom. Instead, it gives players another option based on their preferred range, positioning, and aiming style.

Its arrival also marks another step in Riot’s recent effort to expand Valorant’s weapon selection after years of relatively few additions.

Glitched lets players combine Agent abilities

Patch 13.06 will also introduce Glitched, a new mode that changes how players choose their abilities.

Eight teams of two will compete through a tournament-style round-robin format until one duo remains. However, players will not select and use Agents in the traditional way.

Instead, they can draft abilities belonging to different Agents and combine them into custom builds. This means players will be able to experiment with ability combinations that are not possible in standard Valorant matches.

These unusual combinations can also create glitches, which may have unexpected consequences during a match. Players will need to test different builds and decide whether the potential benefits are worth the risks.
