The Guard Is Reportedly Looking To Re-Sign Their Valorant Stars

After a miraculous of a run through the Challengers and Ascension League, The Guard is keen on resigning some of its players to continue carrying on this success.

With the current system in the Esports scene, teams that are not partnered will need to battle through the Challengers League for a chance to qualify for Ascension.

In Ascension, qualified teams fight to crown a champion who will join Riot as a partnered team for 2 years. Back in September 2022, The Guard allowed their players to explore options but they eventually re-signed them to continue playing under the organization.

This is exactly what happened, and they took the chance to the sky by winning Ascensions and qualifying for VCT Americas.

However, the journalist George Geddes made a report about both Valyn and neT entering a free agency state in mid-October. Although The Guard is keen on re-signing them, nothing is confirmed.

The 2 players were one of the keys to success for the team as they play pillar roles (IGL Controller and Sentinel) which are both in high demand, especially in the Americas league.

While the future remains unknown, it is very likely that the organization will try to keep its roster to continue the streak of wins.
