Fortnite Raises V-Buck Prices

Fortnite will soon see changes to its in game currency. Epic Games confirmed on March 10 that V-Buck prices and rewards will change starting March 19.
The company said the cost of running the game has increased, which is why the adjustments are being made.
This is not the first price change. In late 2023, Epic already increased V-Buck bundle prices by around 12 to 15 percent.
V-Buck Packs Will Offer Less Currency
Under the new system, players will receive fewer V-Bucks for the same price.
Here is the new pricing:
-
The $8.99 pack will drop from 1,000 to 800 V-Bucks
-
The $22.99 pack will drop from 2,800 to 2,400 V-Bucks
-
The $36.99 pack will drop from 5,000 to 4,500 V-Bucks
-
The $89.99 pack will drop from 13,500 to 12,500 V-Bucks
This means players will need to spend more money to reach the same amount of currency as before.
Battle Pass Rewards Also Reduced
Changes are also coming to the Fortnite Battle Pass.
The Battle Pass will now cost 800 V-Bucks instead of 1,000. However, completing it will return exactly 800 V-Bucks.

In the past, players could earn around 1,500 V-Bucks during a full season. With the new system, that extra bonus reward has been removed.
Other passes are also changing:
-
The OG Pass will drop from 1,000 to 800 V-Bucks
-
The Music and LEGO passes will drop from 1,400 to 1,200 V-Bucks
Changes to Fortnite Crew
Subscribers of Fortnite Crew will also see a smaller monthly currency reward.
The monthly V-Buck grant will drop from 1,000 to 800.
New Rewards Through Epic Purchases
Epic did add one new benefit. Purchases made through the company’s own payment system will give players a 20 percent Epic Rewards credit.
This credit can be used in Fortnite, other Epic games, or in the Epic Games Store.
Existing V-Buck gift cards will still redeem at their original value.
