Fortnite Job Boards are an innovative feature introduced in Chapter 4 Season 3 of the game. These Job Boards, reminiscent of the earlier Bounty Boards, provide players with a selection of tasks or "jobs" they can choose to complete during gameplay.

Upon interacting with a Job Board, players can select one of two jobs in addition to a bounty. The tasks might involve visiting specified locations, searching chests, or eliminating an enemy player within a given match. Completing these jobs within the allocated time (typically six minutes) rewards players with Gold Bars, which are valuable in-game currency.

Moreover, most tasks, except for eliminations, come with an optional additional objective. Completion of this optional task offers an extra reward. It provides an opportunity for players to earn more Gold Bars.

These Job Boards are randomly distributed across the Fortnite map, making them a common feature that players come across during their games. As such, Job Boards are a key component of the gameplay and strategy in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, adding a layer of complexity and offering chances for players to earn rewards.

How do they work?

Job Boards in Fortnite work as task-dispensing locations scattered throughout the game map. If you're a long-time player, you're likely familiar with the Bounty Boards of previous seasons, which tasked players with eliminating specific players for experience points. Job Boards, introduced in Chapter 4 Season 3, serve as their replacement and enhancement, offering a broader range of tasks.

These boards look a lot like their predecessors, the Bounty Boards, but they offer more variety. Here are the types of jobs they can assign:

  1. Visit locations: This task requires you to visit various locations during a single match.
  2. Search chests: This job requires you to search for a set number of chests.
  3. Eliminate enemy player: Similar to the original Bounty Board task, this requires you to eliminate a specific player.

To use a Job Board, you simply approach it and interact with it to receive a task. You can choose the type of task you prefer based on your gameplay style. If you're more of a fighter, you can choose the Bounty task. If you prefer exploration or treasure hunting, you can go with the Exploration or Scavenging tasks.

Upon task completion, you're rewarded with 100 Gold Bars, irrespective of the task type. If the task had an optional additional objective and you completed it, you'd get an extra 50 Gold Bars. The jobs must be completed within a six-minute timeframe from their acceptance.

Keep in mind that Job Boards are not scarce. They're scattered randomly and frequently across all the different biomes of the map, allowing players to find and engage with them often.

Benefits of Completing Jobs in Fortnite

Jobs in Fortnite provide a rewarding system that does more than just offer instant gratification. As players complete tasks from Job Boards, they accrue Gold Bars, which serve multiple functions in the Fortnite universe.

  1. Purchase Power: Gold Bars act as a form of in-game currency, allowing players to buy useful items, including weapons and consumables.
  2. Weapon Upgrades: The accumulated Gold Bars can be spent on weapon upgrades, providing a competitive edge in battles.
  3. Hiring NPCs: An interesting use of Gold Bars is the ability to recruit Non-Player Characters (NPCs) to assist in fights, offering tactical advantages.

In addition to the tangible rewards, jobs contribute significantly to the overall gaming experience. Continually taking on and completing jobs enables players to unlock new opportunities and features within the game, enhancing the thrill and intrigue of the Fortnite universe.

The introduction of Job Boards in Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 3 added a dynamic element to the gameplay. Along with features such as the Transformers crossover with Optimus Prime, fresh battle pass choices, and a host of new mechanics, Job Boards bring an element of quests and collaborations. By consistently taking on and completing jobs, players can amass gold, gain experience, and unlock valuable rewards.

So, by regularly engaging with Job Boards and completing the jobs they offer, players can steadily improve their gaming performance and progression. It also enhances their overall Fortnite experience.

All Job Board locations in Fortnite

Job Boards in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 can be found across various Biomes on the island. Here's a list of locations where you can find these boards in each Biome:

Grass Biome:

In this quieter season, there are only four Job Boards present within the Grass Biome:

  • Frenzy Fields
  • Slappy Shores
  • East of Shattered Slabs
  • Slap N' Gone

Slap N' Gone, situated beside the Secluded Spire Landmark, is a less frequented location where you might find a Job Board.

Medieval Biome:

Despite its dense forest cover, there are five Job Boards nestled within the Medieval Biome:

  • The Citadel
  • Royal Ruin
  • Shattered Slabs
  • Breakwater Bay
  • Rocky Docks

Rocky Docks and Royal Ruin are ideal places to locate a Job Board due to the limited number in this Biome.

Snow/Ice Biome:

Even though this Biome is quite extensive, there are just three Job Boards situated here:

  • Crude Harbor
  • Lonely Labs
  • Brutal Bastion

Given the board's prevalence in Points of Interest (POIs), the Crude Harbor Landmark offers an offbeat location to interact with a Job Board.

Jungle Biome:

With the Jungle Biome being a popular drop spot on the map, accessing one of the three Job Boards in this location can be challenging:

  • Shady Slits
  • Creeky Compound
  • Sunswoon Lagoon

Your safest bet for interaction would be at Sunswoon Lagoon, as it's relatively less hectic.

Futuristic Biome:

This Biome is an ideal location for players seeking to interact with Job Boards without extensive search, housing nine Job Boards close to each other:

  • Cedar Circle
  • Sakura Circle
  • Sandy Circle
  • Mega City
  • Steamy Springs
  • Knotty Nets
  • Bamboo Circle
  • Kenjutsu Crossing

Considering the reduced activity in the Futuristic Biome in Chapter 4, Season 3, Job Boards in this region are fairly accessible, with those located at the Circles being the safest to interact with.
