Hint at New Witcher 3 DLC for May 2026

It has been over a decade since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt first released, with the celebrated Blood and Wine DLC marking its ten-year anniversary in 2026. Rumors suggest fans might see another expansion next year.
Speculation began earlier this year when Polish leaker Borys Nieśpielak claimed a new Witcher 3 DLC is in development. The project is allegedly being handled by Fool’s Theory, the Polish studio currently working on the Witcher 1 Remake.
DLC Leaks
PCGamesN reported that the leaker initially expected the DLC to be revealed at The Game Awards, but this did not happen. Despite the absence of an official announcement, the rumors continue.
Polish analyst Mateusz Chrzanowski of Noble Securities predicts a paid add-on for The Witcher 3 could launch in May 2026. He estimates sales of 11 million copies at around $30 each and a production budget of PLN 52 million. According to him, the expansion could serve as a bridge leading into The Witcher 4, kickstarting its marketing campaign.
CD Projekt Red has confirmed that The Witcher 4 is not expected in 2026, with a projected release in the fourth quarter of 2027, fitting within their broader release window.

Additionally, The Witcher 3 will receive “one more patch” in 2026, introducing cross-platform mod support for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This update was originally scheduled for 2025 but has been delayed to the following year.
While the prospect of a new Witcher 3 DLC more than a decade after the original launch excites fans, it remains unconfirmed, and all reports should be treated as speculation.
In the meantime, attention turns to The Witcher 4, its setting, and how Ciri could rise as a full-fledged witcher.
