FromSoftware Confirms Unannounced Games

FromSoftware is apparently working on more games than fans currently know about, and according to Hidetaka Miyazaki, the studio is still free to make the projects it actually wants to make.
Miyazaki Teases Unannounced FromSoftware Games
The Elden Ring director briefly discussed the studio’s future while answering questions from Japanese publication Denfaminicogamer.
The conversation was mainly about an ongoing shareholder dispute involving FromSoftware’s parent company, KADOKAWA, but Miyazaki slipped in a pretty exciting detail.
He encouraged fans to look forward not only to the games FromSoftware has already announced, but also to projects that are still being kept secret.
FromSoftware Still Has Creative Freedom
Miyazaki said he was generally happy with the studio’s current development environment.
He also explained that FromSoftware is able to work without too much outside interference, and protecting that freedom remains one of his biggest priorities.

In other words, the studio does not appear to have executives constantly telling its developers what kind of game they need to make next.
What Could FromSoftware Be Working On?
Naturally, Miyazaki did not reveal what any of the unannounced games actually are.
Previous reports have suggested that the studio may have a multiplatform project in an advanced stage of development, although nothing has been officially confirmed.
Dark Souls 3 also celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2026, so fans are already coming up with theories about possible remasters, sequels and surprise announcements.
KADOKAWA Is Facing a Shareholder Dispute
Miyazaki’s comments came during a tense period for KADOKAWA.
Activist investment firm Oasis Management now owns 13.76% of the company, making it a larger shareholder than Sony.
The firm is also pushing for CEO Takanori Natsuno to be removed at KADOKAWA’s annual shareholder meeting on June 24.
Investors Believe FromSoftware Is Being Underused
Oasis has argued that KADOKAWA has not made enough use of FromSoftware’s success.
That naturally made some fans nervous, especially because increased pressure from investors could potentially affect how the studio chooses and develops its future games.
