Forza Horizon 6 Credit Glitch Gets Patched

Forza Horizon 6 players who used a GMC Hummer EV exploit to earn nearly one billion credits have now had their massive fortunes taken away.
The glitch allowed players to push the Hummer into a broken state before entering The Eliminator. Doing so could instantly raise their balance to 999,999,999 credits, giving them enough money to purchase practically anything in the game.
Unsurprisingly, the exploit spread quickly. It required very little effort, cost players nothing, and could apparently be repeated reliably.
Playground Games Removes Glitched Credits
Playground Games confirmed through the official Forza Support FAQ that accounts detected using the exploit had their balances reduced to a maximum of 10 million credits.
However, players will not receive bans or any additional punishment because the developer acknowledged that the problem came from an error within the game.
The team said it appreciated players’ understanding while it worked to protect Forza Horizon 6’s economy. The Eliminator was also temporarily taken offline while Playground prepared a permanent fix.
Online XP Grind Gets a Major Fix
The June 15 update also addressed another issue that had been frustrating dedicated players.
XP requirements between levels 26 and 100 in the online Horizon Play mode had become far more demanding than intended.

Some estimates suggested that reaching level 100 and unlocking the “Maxed Out” Achievement could take around 1,000 hours.
Playground confirmed that the extreme grind was not intentional.
Players who had already reached level 32 before the update were automatically moved to level 100 and received the Achievement without needing to continue grinding.
Drag Tires Finally Get Nerfed
Drag tires were another major target of the update.
They had been performing far too well around corners and on normal roads, making them a strong option even outside drag racing. Playground adjusted their performance so that regular tire choices should once again be more effective during standard races.
The developer also admitted that many leaderboard times recorded using drag tires may need to be removed in a future cleanup.
More Leaderboard Changes Could Be Coming
While the credit exploit has now been dealt with, the update may continue to affect competitive players as Playground reviews suspicious leaderboard entries.
