GTA 6 Cover Art Has Fans Worried About Raul

Rockstar Games finally gave Grand Theft Auto fans something new to obsess over, and naturally, the internet has already started tearing every tiny detail apart.
After months of silence, trailer 3 theories, Best Buy pre-order leaks, and endless speculation, Rockstar confirmed on June 18 that GTA 6 pre-orders will officially begin on June 25. Alongside that announcement, the studio also revealed the game’s official cover art and a fresh look at Vice City.
At first glance, the cover looks exactly like what you’d expect from a Grand Theft Auto game. It has the classic collage layout, different character panels, a helicopter, a bike, and plenty of crime-filled chaos. However, one specific detail has fans convinced Rockstar may be hinting at something bigger in the story.
GTA 6 fans think Raul looks like Lance Vance
Near the bottom of the cover, Raul Bautista can be seen holding an assault rifle while wearing a white suit with a purple shirt. That outfit immediately reminded fans of Lance Vance from GTA Vice City.
That comparison is making some players nervous, because Lance famously betrayed Tommy Vercetti in Vice City. Now, fans are wondering if Raul could end up playing a similar role in GTA 6.
The reactions came fast. Some fans joked that Rockstar better not make Raul a traitor, while others said the outfit felt way too intentional to ignore. A few players also pushed back on the idea, arguing that it would feel too obvious if Rockstar made him another Lance-style backstabber.
Either way, the comparison has already made Raul one of the most suspicious characters in the game before GTA 6 is even out.
Rockstar’s new GTA 6 description adds more mystery
The theory also fits with Rockstar’s updated description for GTA 6, which suggests that Jason and Lucia’s story will quickly spiral out of control.
According to Rockstar, the two characters have always known the odds are against them, but after an easy job goes wrong, they end up caught in a major criminal conspiracy across the state of Leonida. The description also says they will have to rely on each other more than ever if they want to survive.
That has only added more fuel to the idea that someone close to them could turn against them.
Raul could play a major role early in GTA 6
Raul has already been described as an experienced bank robber who is always searching for talented people willing to take big risks for big rewards.
That makes it very likely he crosses paths with Jason and Lucia early in the story, especially if the game opens with smaller jobs that grow into something much larger.
For now, there is no confirmation that Raul will betray anyone. The Lance Vance comparison could just be a fun visual callback, or it could be Rockstar quietly setting up a major story twist.
