Niantic has expanded the competitive scope of Power Spots by deploying the legendary Lake Trio into five-star Max Battles. Known collectively as the guardians of Sinnoh, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf represent the first regional legendary species to receive the Dynamax treatment.

Similar to the regional scheduling format seen during the Minior meteor shower events, obtaining all three legendary guardians requires international coordination, remote raiding networks, or targeted travel.

Regional Distribution Breakdown

The Lake Guardians retain their classic geographic boundaries across global Power Spots:

Dynamax Uxie: Spawns exclusively across the Asia-Pacific territory (Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and surrounding regions).
Dynamax Mesprit: Spawns exclusively across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India.
Dynamax Azelf: Spawns exclusively across the Americas and Greenland.

For players based outside of Asia, collecting Dynamax Uxie requires accepting remote invites from international friends or utilizing cross-region community groups to access distant Power Spots.

Event Schedule and Active Bonuses

During the scheduled Max Battle Day, Niantic activates multiple resource enhancements to support active players:

Increased Remote Participation: The daily remote limit increases from 10 to 20 passes to facilitate international Lake Trio raiding networks.
Max Particle Gathering Multipliers: Power Spots yield up to 8x Max Particles per interaction, while the active inventory storage ceiling expands to 1,600 Max Particles.
Accelerated Power Spot Resets: Battle nodes refresh significantly faster, ensuring players in dense urban environments can chain multiple encounters without long cooldown delays.
Trade Bonuses: Up to three Special Trades are permitted throughout the event date, reducing the resource burden of swapping regional catches with local community members.

Shiny Availability and Catch Encounters

Every Lake Guardian encountered after completing a five-star Max Battle holds confirmed Shiny eligibility:

Shiny Uxie: Trades its standard yellow body and head markings for a striking golden-amber tone.
Shiny Odds: Legendary encounters in official Max Battle Day activations carry boosted shiny probabilities, averaging approximately 1 in 10 to 1 in 20 successful encounters.
100% IV Floors: Base encounters drop at Level 20 with minimum IV spreads of 10/10/10. A non-boosted perfect 15/15/15 Uxie registers at 1,442 CP, climbing to 1,802 CP under windy weather conditions.
