The arrival of the Generation VII Meteor Pokémon Minior marked one of the most distinctive rollouts in Pokémon GO, tying in-game creature debuts directly to real-world astronomical cycles. With the Green Core form featured during the initial Orionids launch, collectors and competitive trainers quickly faced an obvious question: when will the remaining six core varieties enter the wild?

Niantic has linked Minior’s distribution to upcoming meteor showers extending into late 2027. While the developer has not yet confirmed which specific color corresponds to each individual window, the exact deployment dates and special regional restrictions have been set.

Here is the complete event calendar for every upcoming Minior release in Pokémon GO.

Minior Color Variants and Event Dates Roadmap in Pokemon GO

Complete Minior Meteor Shower Event Schedule

Unlike standard wild Pokémon that spawn continuously across seasons, Minior’s exposed Core variations appear exclusively during five-day event windows tied to peak calendar meteor showers:

  • Leonids Meteor Shower:

    • Window: November 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM to November 19, 2026, at 11:59 PM local time.

    • Details: Marks the second global Minior drop, introducing the next color variant to standard wild encounters.

  • Geminids Meteor Shower (Hemisphere Split):

    • Window: December 11, 2026, at 5:00 PM to December 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM local time.

    • Details: This event features a regional split. One distinct Minior color will release exclusively in the Northern Hemisphere, while a completely different color variant will spawn across the Southern Hemisphere.

  • Eta Aquariids Meteor Shower:

    • Window: May 3, 2027, at 5:00 PM to May 8, 2027, at 11:59 PM local time.

    • Details: The first scheduled drop of 2027, bringing another color variant following a multi-month spring hiatus.

  • Southern Delta Aquariids Meteor Shower:

    • Window: July 28, 2027, at 5:00 PM to August 2, 2027, at 11:59 PM local time.

    • Details: Summer release window focusing on evening and late-night encounter boosts.

  • Perseids Meteor Shower:

    • Window: August 10, 2027, at 5:00 PM to August 15, 2027, at 11:59 PM local time.

    • Details: Expected to round out the remaining core variants in circulation.

All Seven Minior Core Colors Explained

In mainline Pokémon lore, Minior enters battle concealed beneath its protective brown rocky shell, known as Meteor Form. Once its health falls below half, its Shields Down ability triggers, shedding the exterior layer to expose its luminous Core.

There are seven distinct core colors matching the visible light spectrum:

  1. Red Core

  2. Orange Core

  3. Yellow Core

  4. Green Core (Featured during the debut Orionids launch)

  5. Blue Core

  6. Indigo Core

  7. Violet Core

Every color variation shares identical base combat stats, typing (Rock/Flying), and move pools. The difference is purely cosmetic, turning the completion of the full Minior Pokédex family into a long-term collector project across multiple event seasons.

Preparation and Resource Tips for Future Events

Because each color window lasts only five days, preparing your inventory before the start of each meteor shower ensures you do not miss rare spawns:

  • Evening Grinding Windows: As observed during the debut event, Minior spawn rates increase dramatically between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM local time each day. Plan your walking routes during these peak hours.

  • Stacking Stardust Multipliers: Minior awards a generous baseline of 1,000 Stardust per capture. Activating a Star Piece during active spawn windows turns these short mini-events into lucrative farming sessions, boosting yields to 1,500 Stardust per catch.

  • Hemisphere Trading Networks: For the December Geminids event, local communities should establish trade agreements with traveling trainers or international friends to register both hemisphere-exclusive colors without relying on future global makeup events.
