Best Sage Slow Lineups On Ascent

Are you a Sage main? Well, whether you are or not, this guide is going to elevate your gameplay in that agent. It may even lead you to pick her in your next ranked matches. Why you may ask? Simply because, we will show you some of the best Sage slow lineups on Ascent.
So let’s take you through some of the best lineups for both defense and attack helping you maximize your benefit from the agent’s ability kit:
Attack Side
A Site
Oh well if you’re going to attack A site, you will need this lineup. We all know what it feels like to walk out of A main looking at tree and getting 1 tapped by someone who walked through the smoke on Heaven. This lineup from main, will stop just that.
To do it, come in this corner and aim your crosshair as shown in the picture. Then, do a normal throw.
B Site
Over to B site, it is common that you could slow market or CT, but what about stairs, where enemies will definitely peek you. So this lineup helps you slow that without peeking to do it, so it is risk free.
All you have to do is tug yourself with the wall and aim over to this corner, aim your crosshair towards the top and send your slow.
Defense Side
A Site
Nothing is going to be as good as this slow when you retake A site. Why? Because it lands on default, generator. That’s exactly what you need to fight off every time you retake.
To do it, come at A heaven, don’t get too close to the wall and aim at the metal pipe as shown in the picture, then send your slow.
B (Mid Link)
This may not seem direct to B, but if you were on B site and knew enemies are going through tiles, you can stop that! This lineup lands on mid link from CT on B site.
To do it, come over to the corner and aim your crosshair in alignment with the building as shown in the picture. Then send your slow.
Sage Pro Tips
- Sage is one of the oldest Sentinels in the game. While her kit is not set to watch flank, she is able to block choke points and give control to her team. So make sure you get the best out of it.
- You have 2 slow orbs that you can use per round, make sure you don’t waste both of them at the same time as you should try to extend the duration of how long it stays as much as possible.
- To get the best out of these lineups beware of the timing and situation you use it in. Do not use an attack lineup when your enemy is too far ahead or too far behind as this will defeat its purpose.
- Make sure to pay attention for the sound after you slow an area, there is a sound que if players try to step through your slow and it can be a round winner difference to know that.
- Remember that your slows do not deal any damage, so don’t try to use them for post plant as if they are mollies; a common mistake sage mains resort to.
- Do not use your Sage wall to cover up flanks as this does more harm than good. It firstly stops you from being able to rotate in case you need to and secondly wastes the better usage of the wall on choke point.
- It is recommended to try the lineups given in a custom match to ensure you are able to do it properly before proceeding to a ranked match and potentially making some game-losing mistakes.
