Defending Haven requires managing three separate plant sites and a contested middle courtyard with only five players on the board. While Killjoy and Cypher rely on stationary cameras and deployable turrets to hold space, Vyse anchors territory through isolation traps and vision control that penalizes direct attacking hits.

Her kit comprising the Shear wall, Arc Rose blind, and Razorvine area-denial traps allows a solo anchor to delay hits until teammates rotate from opposite lanes.

A-Site Defense: Punishing A-Long and Sewer Pushes

A-Site features long sightlines from A-Long and close-quarters entry paths through A-Sewer. Vyse handles this split entry by stalling the lead duelist while blocking the follow-up line.

The A-Long Isolation Trap:

  1. Shear (Wall): Place your Shear trigger directly at the choke point where A-Long connects to site bricks. Set it slightly off-center toward the long wall so approaching attackers cannot bait the trigger with a quick shoulder peek.

  2. Arc Rose (Flash): Embed your Arc Rose high on the back side of the A-Site box stack facing Long. Because Vyse can detonate her flash through solid geometry, trigger it the moment you hear the first attacker step past the corner.

  3. Razorvine (Molly): Drop your Razorvine directly in front of the A-Long choke. When the enemy Jett or Raze crosses and triggers the Shear wall, detonate the Razorvine instantly. The wall traps the entry player on site while the razorvine slows down and damages the supporting pack behind the wall.

Holding A-Sewer (A-Short):

  • Place an Arc Rose directly on the frame of the doorway leading out of Sewer into A-Lobby.

  • Hold from A-Rafters or behind the site generator. Once the flash blinds players stepping onto the balcony, peek to secure the opening duel before falling back to safety.

B-Site Anchor: Locking Down Mid Window and Courtyard

B-Site is the most volatile plant zone on Haven because attackers can execute from Mid Courtyard or coordinate a split through Garage.

  1. Shear Wall Placement: Place your Shear across the main double doors leading from Mid Courtyard directly into B. When attackers commit utility and rush the door, the wall divides the entry team in half, separating the lead fragger from supporting flash agents.

  2. Arc Rose Placement: Place the Arc Rose high on the interior back wall above the Gong. This elevated position prevents attackers entering from Mid from shooting the core before it blinds them.

  3. Razorvine Placement: Lay one Razorvine directly across the threshold of Mid doors. Trigger it as soon as the enemy smokes off your vision to prevent unpunished entries into the back of B site.

C-Site Lockdown: Controlling the C-Long Funnel

C-Site features a narrow funnel along C-Long and an interior flank route via C-Garage (Connector). Vyse is capable of completely shutting down aggressive hits down Long.

C-Long Defense Setup:

  • Shear Wall: Place the Shear between the green Radianite crates and the wall of C-Long. As the point player runs past the crates toward the default plant spot, the wall pops behind them, isolating them in front of the defender holding from C-Platform or Back Site.

  • Arc Rose: Place the blind on the inside face of the green crates facing C-Long. Because attackers clear Platform first, this flash blinds their primary crosshairs as they turn toward site.

  • Razorvine: Throw the Razorvine into the default plant pocket behind the center boxes. If attackers get onto site through cover, activating this trap prevents them from completing the plant without taking continuous damage.

Tactical Usage of Steel Garden on Haven

Vyse’s ultimate ability, Steel Garden, jams the primary weapons of all enemies caught within its large circular radius for eight seconds, forcing them onto secondary pistols or abilities.

  • Retake Execution on Retake A: Cast Steel Garden from A-Heaven covering the entire lower site and Hell. Triggering this during a retake leaves post-plant attackers with Classic or Ghost sidearms, giving your rotating team rifle superiority.

  • C-Long Push Denial: If the enemy team shows heavy presence toward C-Garage and C-Long, deploy Steel Garden through the Garage wall. The radius covers the entire approach road, nullifying fast executes and forcing attackers to burn clock.
