As a high-impact initiator, Breach, with his suite of seismic abilities, can single-handedly turn the tide of any round. However, the true potential of this earth-shattering agent lies not just in understanding his abilities but in applying them in the most strategic and devastating ways possible. In this article, we'll delve into how to maximize the effectiveness of Breach's stuns and flashes on the map Ascent, exploring various strategies, best practices, and situational tips to help you overwhelm the enemy, disrupt their tactics, and secure victory for your team.

Breach Stuns

The fault line ability which is otherwise known as “Stun” is one of the most overpowered pieces of utility that you can use to shift the outcome of any round. Using it at the right time and place makes an unimaginable difference as to how the games will be played. In this section, we will demonstrate the best stuns you can use for both attacking and defensive halves:

What Does It Cover: This stun will cover the entire close left area in addition to Generator and Heaven deep. It also covers the left side of under. However, it may not fully cover the close left angle as there’s a little gap right next to the switch.

When To Use It: Best used in any full on A execute where you plan to take on the site as a 5 or even split from short as well. As this stun combats the strongest angle defenders usually take which is Generator.

What Makes It Good: The fact that anyone playing on Generator will 100% be caught in this stun makes it always guaranteed for your duelist to dash in and earn a kill or force the enemies to play site for retake as they flee that position.

To do it, just line yourself up with this spot of the wall and aim your stun just as shown in the picture.

What Does It Cover: This defender aggressive stun will cover the entirety of A cubby and a large portion right at the middle of A lobby. It will leave certain gaps behind the tucked in corners on left and right, but that doesn’t take away from its value.

When To Use It: Perfectly paired when you plan an aggressive push towards A main. Suited for rounds where you’re on an eco or just would like to aggress over the enemy team, this stun paired with any flash or utility will make it a nightmare to hold.

What Makes It Good: Setting this apart is the fact that it will be very hard to dodge the set aggression as an enemy playing on A lobby. The little corners on the right and left will crowd them as you take fast control and push.

To do it, come over to this spot and aim your stun just like so. Always use your minimap as a reference to where your stun will go.

breach_ascent_stun_b

What Does It Cover: This stun will be instant, as you don’t need to charge it and this will cover the early peek spot on B main.

When To Use It: If you happen to know enemies often contest for the space on B main or just look for an early aggressive pick, your best bet would be to use this quick stun as you explode into earning the kill or forcing the enemy to flee.

What Makes It Good: This stun is undodgeable if you do it right at the start of the round which makes it a pretty good choice for any sort of hard executes.

Simply line yourself with the wall and aim your stun right at the spot. Don’t fully charge it so you can instantly do it.

What Does It Cover: This stun will cover the entirety of Lane on B site, which as a defender is a strong firepower to stop any execute coming that way. It will also cover a large portion of the area on B main to site.

When To Use It: Best used when you’re on B site and enemies explode into your site into B lane. This will ensure that you slow them down or even peek off your utility to score kills.

What Makes It Good: The fact that enemies will 100% come over to B lane assures you that you will always get them in your grip as this stun is undodgeable.

To do it, you just need to aim your stun into B lane whilst playing from boat house.

Breach Flashes

Breach’s flashpoint is what made him a popular agent, as we all remember the days we could not help but see the sun and get picked as this agent dominated with his abilities. Here you will find the best spots where you can use breach flashes for to hopefully maximize the chances that everyone on that sight is blind. This will be for both attacking and defensive halves:

What Does It Cover: Blinding anyone playing on dice, heaven, or generator as long as they’re not hidden behind an obstacle is a great way to ensure you enter site fluently, which is exactly what this flash does.

When To Use It: Best used in scenarios where you are executing A site and would like to make sure enemies don’t have a holding advantage over you.

What Makes It Good: It’s quite an unpredictable flash as it comes from a high stance and that isn’t usually used, which adds the element of surprise to your plays.

You just need to aim your flash at that spot and shoot it as it’ll go through instantly.

breach_ascent_flash_a_2

What Does It Cover: This flash will take anyone playing on A main and A lobby by surprise as it comes through the wall covering that entire area.

When To Use It: Best used in combination with the A push stun, as it will also target the same place and serves the same purpose which is defeating any enemy heading towards A.

What Makes It Good: Especially that Breach isn’t often played in Ascent, it makes him a lot more unpredictable, especially with the position where this flash comes from through the wall.

To do it, aim your flash through the wall on the same exact spot where you had used your stun.

breach_ascent_flash_b

What Does It Cover: This flash will blind anyone standing in front of B main, peeking out of the market, or even around stairs. It will be your way to explode into site.

When To Use It: Best used when you’re exploding out B main into site as it’ll be your best bet to clear out anyone holding you earning you an easy kill.

What Makes It Good: The fact that you can instantly flash out and blind so many areas at once makes this flash undeniably the best choice for most B executes.

Doing it is no big deal as you only need to aim your flash through this corner of the wall.

breach_ascent_flash_b_2

What Does It Cover: As a defender this will be the only flash you need to push B main, covering the entirety of B main and a portion of B lobby.

When To Use It: It’s best used when you’re planning to take quick control of the B main area or even further expand into the enemies playing in the lobby area.

What Makes It Good: The fact that this flash is instant makes it very hard to dodge or play around which is why it’s a great choice for any strategy of an aggressive kind.

To do it, simply come by this spot on the B main wall and flash through. Make sure to do it from a high stand point so that it doesn't struggle against any obstacles such as the wooden box.

Pro Tips

  • Breach flashes have a projectile speed set to it, so for example if you are to flash through a long distance that will make your flash take more time before it arrives to the wall and goes through it, making it easier for the enemy to dodge. So always account for the distance before flashing.

  • To get the full benefit from playing breach, make sure to combine his utility to clear out different angles as stuns and flashes isolate areas while you can use Aftershocks to also hit enemies that might be tucked in sneaky corners.

  • Don’t forget to fully charge your stun as it affects to what distance it extends to, of course if you don’t need it to go far you can instantly do it for the purpose of doing it quicker.

  • Always use your minimap as a reference to where your stun or set ability is going as it’s the only indicator when there are obstacles such as walls and so on.
