Arc Raiders Nerf Divides Players

The latest update for Arc Raiders has weakened one of the most popular tools in the game. The Shrouded Sky update made Wolfpack grenades harder to craft, and players are split on whether this was the right move.
Wolfpack grenades are explosives that lock onto nearby Arc enemies. They split into several smaller blasts and can deal heavy damage to both large bosses and groups of targets. Because of this, many players relied on them when fighting powerful enemies.
Once players unlocked the blueprint, the grenades were simple to craft with common materials. This meant many raiders entered missions carrying large amounts of them.
Crafting Now Requires a Rare Item
After the update, crafting a Wolfpack grenade now requires a Driver part dropped by Rocketeer enemies. This is notable because Rocketeers were often defeated using Wolfpacks in the first place.

This new requirement makes the grenades much harder to obtain, even for players who already unlocked the blueprint.
Some players feel the change creates a frustrating loop. They argue that you now need the very item you are trying to craft in order to get more of it.
Community Reactions Are Mixed
The change has caused strong reactions online. Some players say the decision makes no sense and slows progress too much. Others feel it was necessary.
Supporters of the nerf say Wolfpacks were too powerful before. Once unlocked, they allowed players to defeat strong enemies with little effort. For them, the update restores challenge and balance to the game.
Developers Likely Wanted More Challenge
The update suggests the developers believed Wolfpacks were making difficult encounters too easy. By limiting access, they may be trying to push players to rely more on skill and strategy.
