How To Become A Valorant Partner
For years, getting into a Riot creator program meant waiting for an invite. That is changing. Riot Games is reopening its Partner Program with direct applications across League of Legends, VALORANT, and Teamfight Tactics, and the first window is about to go live.
If you make content for any of these games, this is your chance to apply yourself instead of hoping to get tapped on the shoulder.
When each game opens
The rollout is staggered, with each game getting roughly a month to apply:
- VALORANT: August 3 to August 28, 2026
- League of Legends: September 1 to September 30, 2026
- Teamfight Tactics: October 1 to October 30, 2026
Wild Rift is not in this wave. It is still in a closed beta, and Riot expects to open public applications for it sometime in 2027.
What Riot is looking for
The good news is that a giant audience is not the thing that gets you in. Riot has been clear that both small and established creators are welcome. What matters more is the kind of creator you are.
Three things stand out in what they want:
- Real passion for the game, shown through steady, genuine content rather than a one-off post
- A positive impact on the community, both on your own channels and on Riot's platforms
- An active, engaged community around your content
As a rough benchmark, Riot points to around 20 hours a month of streaming, or regular posting of VODs and short-form clips tied to the game you are applying for. You also need to be at least 18, live in a supported region, and keep your in-game accounts in good standing.
The perks on offer
Getting accepted comes with a solid set of rewards. Approved partners can unlock champions, agents, or tacticians depending on their game, get giveaway codes to hand out to their community, and receive free battle passes.
There are also in-game titles and cosmetic recognition, plus creator-focused extras like early access to content, dedicated support, and a shot at drops programs and marketing campaigns down the line. Some of these perks may stick around while others rotate, since the program is still evolving.
How to apply and stay safe
Applications go through Riot's Creator Hub once each window is live. After a window closes, the team needs about two to four weeks to review everyone, and results land around the same time by email and on your Creator Hub page.
One important safety note. Real invites and messages only come from a riotgames.com or mail.creators.riotgames.com email address. Riot will never ask for your password or send application links through Discord or text messages. If someone does, it is a scam.
Missed the window? You get another shot
If your community is still growing or you do not make it in this time, it is not a dead end. Riot has said it plans to open applications again in the future, so the first round is not your only opportunity.
