Team Vitality Withdraws From VCT EMEA In Honor Of Twisten
In recent events where the professional VALORANT player Twisten took his own life, his team, the French organization Team Vitality has announced that they will be retreating from playing VCT for the remainder of the season.
Everybody recognized Twisten as one of the kindest people in the scene, he left with a great impact on everyones lives. That being said, Team Vitality made this decision out of respect for him and his family.
“We can’t imagine anyone else playing in these last competitions of the season,”
“That is why, out of respect for him, his family and our players, we wish to bring our VCT 23 season to an end.”
Riot Games also made a statement regarding the situation where they approved that the team is indeed permissed to not participate for the remainder of the season with the ability to re-enter again in the future.
Twisten passed away on the evening of June 6th at the age of 19. The news stormed the scene and took everyone by surprise and it led to a serious of honorary tributes to him.
