Chapter 4 of Fortnite released tons of new features and brought several changes to the game that the fans loved. One of these changes was the introduction of Reality Augments in the game.

For players who do not know what they are, Reality Augments are a few changes or modifications to your character that change the way every match plays out for you. You might also say that these are “abilities” that one can activate to give them an advantage over their enemies.

These abilities can either be as simple as giving you a Chug Cannon, or they might give you the ability to Redeploy your Glider. In this article, we will discuss all the Reality Augments in the game as well as the ones that are the best in Fortnite. So, let’s check it out!

The Best Reality Augments In Fortnite

Storm Mark

Storm Mark is one of the best Reality Augments in Fortnite Battle Royale, and we can see why. Once it is activated, it pings the whole area around the player every time the storm phase changes.

This means that each time the storm starts or stops moving, players will be notified of all the enemies that are around them. This especially comes in handy when you are at the end of the game and players are present in close proximity to each other.

Soaring Sprints

The Soaring Sprints Augment provides the players with the low gravity effect each time they jump while sprinting. This means that they can always jump higher and are immune to the damage they might receive after the fall.

This is an amazing ability to possess, as it benefits players in several ways. At first, it can help you move around the map much faster owing to the long-distance jumps. Players can also easily get onto higher platforms and buildings simply by jumping without having to build a ramp.

Finally, players can also use this Reality Augment to come down from a higher ground if they wish to without obtaining damage.

Shotgun Striker

The Shotgun Striker Augments offers Siphon each time players hit an enemy. This means that they will get a small amount of health each time they land a successful hit with the shotgun.

Since shotguns are much important in Fortnite, and almost every single player uses them as their primary weapon, you might find this perk to be very helpful. It will also allow players to carry lesser heals as they will not have to depend on medicines as much to regain their health.

As a bonus, this Augments heals players when they shoot boars, wolves, and even their own squad members. This will most probably get patched pretty soon but take advantage of it in the meanwhile!

Rarity Check

The Rarity Check Augment is similar to the one mentioned previously, but despite the shotguns, it gives players siphon from all the Common and Uncommon weapons. Furthermore, players do not get siphon only from landing a shot.

Instead, they will have to kill the enemy player. This Augment is not as strong as Shotgun Striker, but it can still come in handy as it is very useful.

Chug Gunner

The Chug Gunner Augments grants players a Chug Cannon, which they can use to heal themselves indefinitely. For the players who have no idea, the Chug Cannon has the ability to heal 20 shields or health per charge and stores five charges at a time.

Once used, the charges also refill over time, which means that you will never be forced to carry another healing item in your inventory. Depending on the situation, this perk can often predict the outcome of the match and can be a game-changer.

In case you are low and find yourself without any healing, receiving this perk can be no less than a blessing in disguise.

Honourable Mentions – Nerfed Augments

The Reality Augments mentioned above are pretty great and are some of the best featured in the game as of right now. However, there were two Augments that were recently nerfed by Epic Games.

These Augments were actually very useful in the game, and maybe their strength is the reason that they got removed from Fortnite. These are as follows:

Aerialist: Players gain the ability to deploy their glider.

Party Time: Gain Balloons over time.

Players who have used these Augments, especially Aerialist, know just how powerful they were and how they could easily save them in the most serious of situations in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. All in all, it was probably for the best that they got nerfed.
