Gray Zone Warfare is an upcoming tactical extraction shooter that has been generating buzz among FPS enthusiasts. With its initial launch slated for early access on Steam in 2024, many console gamers are curious: will it also be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S?

Current Plans for Console Release

As of now, Gray Zone Warfare will not be available on consoles during its early access release. The game will first be launched on Steam, and there have been no official announcements regarding a console port. However, there's a glimmer of hope for console players.

In an interview with Game Rant, creative director Marek Rabas shared that the team is considering bringing Gray Zone Warfare to consoles in the future. He mentioned, "We are thinking about it, you know. We want to support consoles. We won’t do it immediately, because we need to first stabilize the game. We need to do everything on PC, roll out the initial updates on PC, and if the game is suited for consoles, we will make it happen."

Although no specific timeline was provided, Rabas indicated that the team aims to explore this possibility during the game's early access period planned for later in 2024. "Even during the early access, we will try to do an early access on consoles," he added, expressing his personal affinity for console gaming and recognizing the potential market for tactical shooters on these platforms.

Prospects for PS4 and Xbox One

Regarding older console versions, there is no official announcement about a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of Gray Zone Warfare. The older hardware simply lacks the necessary power to support such a demanding game.
