Vyse is one of the newer agents in the game, although she has been out for a while it’s still rare to see someone utilizing her to her maximum capability. In this guide, we will show you how to use Vyse, with creative defending and attacking setups.

Defending Side

A Site

This setup is incredibly powerful for defending A site on Abyss. This will grant you total control of site and ensure to stall enemies.

Place your thorns on default, to activate it when a duelist dashes or if enemies try to plant.

Place your flash high up on the wall behind you, to activate it as you see fit. Best used when enemies walk out of main.

For your wall, you should place it a little further from the choke point, to make sure it is not easy to get baited out by a jump or an Omen TP.

B Site

This setup is the best to use on B, including a Molly thorns that is possbily going to get patched out in the future, because it is game breaking. Follow through:

For your thorns, place it on top of site and activate it when enemies push forward. It branches out and deals damage even to players on the ground.

For your flash, you can place it really high and it will still hit players because of the site’s open style.

Your wall will do just fine if you place it close to the choke point on this one. As it is a narrow one and delaying enemies is all you should focus on.

Attacking Side

A Site

When you are attacking, you can sort of transition into duelist mode. Here’s what to do:

Throw your thorns on back site, ensuring that any defender there is stuck and cannot leave without being dealt damage to.

Use your flash upon entry through the wall, as this will make you work as an initiator for your duelists.

Make sure your wall is placed for flank, so you can be sure nobody is behind you.

B Site

Attacking B is simple, you just have to:

Flash through the pillar (high) so it hits enemies on site.

Throw your thorns on back site A or A heaven if you prefer.

Place your wall towards flank from Mid, and make sure you watchout for spawn flankers as here you have 2 flank points to hold.

Pro Tips

Vyse’s wall is a very versatile ability. It’s not just used to defend a site, but also to detect flanks on the attacking side. When you place the wall, it will alert you if anyone walks through, working like a perfect Cypher trip.
Your flash can be placed through walls. So even through a thicker wall you could still place it and use it. Although it has a little bit of time before it activates so you will not be able to use it as a fast paced flash.
Remember that your abilities can still deal damage to you, so make sure you understand Vyse’s mechanics to not get caught off guard from your own abilities.
Enemies can still move through your thorns (Molly) if they shift (walk) so make sure you are aware of that. It will make no sound if enemies are just walking through your molly.
Because your flash is made to be set up, you can use the flash with your gun out which makes it incredibly powerful especially when you’re defending a site. Use that to your advantage.
Your ultimate blocks enemies from using primary weapons. But they can still use pistols and ultimates, so beware from a Jett or an ulted Chamber that will peek you after your ability has hit them.
Try to not waste your abilities on attack until you’ve secured a plant on site. As before that, it is difficult for you to get value without lurking. As a Vyse, you should lurk or set up for post plant with your abilities on the attacking side.
