How to Use VALORANT’s Flex Cosmetics (And Get Them)

We all know Valorant introduced the Flex a while ago, those flashy phone animations everyone’s been using lately. But what is Flex exactly, how do you use it, and what’s available right now? Here’s a quick breakdown of everything you need to know.
What Is Flex in VALORANT?
Flex is a brand-new cosmetic feature added in Season 2025 Act I. Unlike skins or sprays, Flex items are small handheld accessories that your agent can pull out and show off during a match.
They’re purely for style, no impact on gameplay and are meant to give players one more way to express themselves.
You can show Flex items anytime: before the round starts, while waiting for a fight, or after you’ve clutched a win. Each item comes with its own animation, making them fun to show off. And since they don’t mess with hitboxes or speed, they won’t mess with your game either.
Riot lets you equip up to four Flex items at once, and you can mix them with your Sprays using the Expressions Wheel.
How To Equip Flex Items
Want to use a Flex item in your matches? Here’s what to do:
-
Open the Collection Tab: Start up VALORANT and click “Collection” from the main menu.
-
Go to the Expressions Wheel: Look for it in the bottom-right corner.
-
Switch to the Flex Tab: You’ll find it at the top.
-
Equip Your Items: Pick what you like and assign it to a slot.
You can equip up to four Flex items this way, and they’ll appear alongside your sprays in-game.
How To Use Flex During a Match
Once you’ve set up your Flex items, using them is simple:
-
On PC: Press T (default key) to open the Expressions Wheel.
-
On console: Use the right D-pad.
-
Choose the item you want, and your agent will pull it out with a short animation.
-
To go back to your weapon, just press the button again or switch weapons normally.
Which Flex Items Are Available Right Now?
Right now, you can get the kill banner flex for free in the battle pass. Although other Flex items may be bundled or purchased through the battlepass, this one is completely free.
While free it is one of the better flexes that have been introduced so far as it has some cool animations matching your kill count in the round.
