Setups - Attack

The attacking side on Fracture is quite challenging as you need to figure out a good approach to the defenders. You might often find yourself overwhelmed with the tight spaces and many hiding corners for defenders which can get to be a nightmare if you are failing to open up sites. Here’s how with Harbor you can make Fracture attacking side seem so easy:

Full A

You have to understand the utility Harbor has before you get a good understanding of how you can approach any site on any map of the attacking side.

Your High Tide ability is essentially a very versatile wall that can be adjusted to a decent level to match any area you’re trying to cover. It is also, very long which will do good cover in almost any map.

Your Cove (Shield Orb) ability is one of a kind, once placed you will be able to have a shielded smoke on that area that blocks bullets until it’s broken.

Cascade Wall also acts as a temporary smoke once it is stopped and as a good mechanic to push as you launch it and it goes forward until it stops but it doesn’t drop down immediately giving you a temporary smoke.

In this set up, you will be able to cover the entirety of A site and that is even if you are taking an approach into sands. Use your Cascade wall at the beginning of the round just in case there was anybody peeking for an early pick and then place your high tide wall all the way to cover Sand, CT and dish.

As soon as you get into site, make sure you use your Cove (Shielded Orb) to gain extra cover.

A Dish

If you are approaching A from Dish and Main, as an A split attack then make sure you’re walling off CT and sand completely. Additionally, you can place your cascade into CT to ensure nobody peeks out of it and punishes you as you push out.

Lastly, just place your shielded orb to gain cover while you’re planting. The picture shown above shows the planting spot for post plants on A main, if you’re willing to just plant on site you can switch it up for that.

B Full

This is an excellent way to execute B site. Place your high tide wall all across to cover Canteen, CT & Generator, and leave arcade open. This can be changed if you prefer to cover Arcade too by just curving the wall a little.

After that, place your cascade through to the green boxes (which usually is a common spot for defenders to hide in)

Once you’ve cleared site and obtained control of the area, place your Cove and plant for B main. Remember, usually planting in these spots is more difficult because you will need more cover and control over that space. But with harbor, you make a shortcut with his Cove ability.

B Arcade

If you’re pushing from Arcade that can still be a perfect execute. First off use your cascade wall to cover anyone who could peek you from Towers, right after that use your tide to cover the same areas but on a less deep level so that you create a pathway for you onto site. After that, you probably would plant on site so just use your Cove for that area.

Setups - Defense

Fracture is easier played on defense but that doesn’t necessarily mean it will always be on your side. If you don’t learn the best set ups to hold sites down you might find yourself in a situation where it’s impossible to deny enemies from taking space on you. And that’s why we will now show you the best set ups to force your enemies into backing off your site:

A Aggressive

Especially on A site, you have a lot of room to play quite aggressively as a defender. And with Harbor, this is made a lot easier. Take a look at this set up:

Push through A main with your Cascade wall which will definitely block attackers from seeing you or even aggressing up on you. Meanwhile, a teammate can hide in the corner while you start baiting for them.

Additionally, if there were way too many attackers on that spot you can use your high tide to split A lobby from A main which will make it harder for them to trade each other.

A Passive

Playing A passive is probably your go-to solution in most cases, all you need to do is place your high tide wall all across from A main to Sand Doors. Obviously, you still lack control of Dish, and for that, you can use your Cove to ensure they can’t make any effect without having to jump out or make a sound to break the shield.

B Default

Usually, when you are defending B you just split, covering both Arcade and B main. If you find it necessary to have a smoke placed on Arcade you can just use your Cove for that.

After that, take a position in the Green Boxes on site and as soon as attackers push throw your cascade wall through them. Make sure to use your High Tide wall to cover B Main as shown in the picture.

Pro Tip: On defense, you tend to use your Cove a lot less because of its retake potential. When you are retaking a site, you need to defuse the spike which the Cove ability can provide great cover for.

B Aggressive

The best way to aggress on B site is by taking control of Arcade.

You can place your high tide wall to cover B main, just to slow things down on B main and push using your Cascade wall into Arcade, preferably with a teammate.

Taking Arcade can give you a lot of information, such as if there’s anyone on Dish if they were pushing A or if they all 5 manning one side of the map.
