The Best Sova Lineups For Split
Sova is a versatile initiator agent in Valorant, equipped with a powerful set of abilities that can gather information and control the battlefield. One of Sova's key strengths lies in his ability to set up precise lineups, which are pre-determined locations where his abilities will land. These lineups can be used to clear out areas, gather information, and even secure kills.
There are many different Sova lineups that can be used on various maps in Valorant, each with its own specific purpose and application. Today we will demonstrate the best Sova lineups for each key location on the map Split that will enable you to utilize Sova’s kit to the maximum of its ability and ensure the highest chances of winning.
These lineups will cover all the important aspects such as attacking, defending, and even retaking. Whether you’re a veteran player or just starting out on the agent, this guide will be a step up and great help for your gameplay on sova while playing Split.
Sova Lineups - Attacking Side
While initiators are often associated with duelists, they play in a completely different way and adapt various possibilities than what a duelist player would. Sova is classified as an information initiator, unlike the flasher initiators who are more focused to find ways to flash for their duelist’s entry, you as a sova try to find the gaps in the enemy team and gather information that your team can use to open and execute sites a lot more effectively. Here’s how you can utilize Sova's lineups on attack:
A Site:
Attacking A is often tricky. There are many angles that defenders can tuck in and catch you off guard on, but the most important area of the map is Rafters or Heaven. That being said, this arrow will land exactly where needed to reveal everyone on A Heaven and even some of site. It won’t reveal deep into site.
To do that lineup, find this box on A lobby and stand on top of it where you don’t get to see any brown coloring. Basically, get up on the edge and press “W” slightly until it looks just like in the picture
Then find the first line of the structure referenced in the picture and aim above it. Just with a slight lean to the left,
Then shoot a triple charged dart.
B Site:
For B site, this is a killer arrow as it will NOT be destroyed the first time you shoot it. It lands high on the building of B site, typically behind those playing on common positions and it will reveal everyone on B site. The only exception to that is close positions which you can clear with a drone or any other piece of utility.
To do this lineup simply come to this safe and easy to access spot on B lobby, find the angle referenced in the picture, and align your left diamond (bounce icons) just a little bit above that corner just as demonstrated. After that,
Shoot a fully charged 1 bounce dart.
Mid:
Mid on split is relatively hard to obtain control of but yet so rewarding, if you hold mid correctly you will be able to manipulate the rotations and generally the outcome of the round. With these darts, you will be able to take mid on quick executes a lot easier. Starting with this arrow that will reveal anyone who’s up close on B heaven
Stand anywhere on Defenders Mid Lobby and find that metal box. Aim just above it and get ready to shoot
A fully charged 2 bounces dart.
For this second lineup, it will land inside of Vents instead. Revealing any operator player and giving you the upper hand in advancing to a mid execute.
Doing this lineup is also simple, by standing on the same spot as you were and then aim your crosshair just above the metal box’s corner. Should look just like referenced in the picture and then shoot
A fully charged 1 bounce dart.
Sova Lineups - Defending Side
It might not seem inevitably clear how important an initiator like Sova is on defense, but the reality is you play a key part in winning even defensive sides. Utilizing Sova’s ability kit to gather as much information as you can on the attacking team’s positioning and moves can be the game changer and lead to victory. Here are the best lineups to defend and gather early information with Sova:
A Site:
Onto defending A site, key part is to obtain early information on the enemies. Split is a pretty defense sided map and with that you want every little advantage in your pocket. Getting those pings might change the outcome of the entire round so here’s a lineup that will reveal everyone on A lobby.
Doing this lineup is very simple and safe. Just make sure to do it at the start of the round or when you think you can gather great intel with this arrow. Aim at the metal bar as shown in the picture, by getting up to A heaven you will get line of sight to it.
Then, shoot a fully charged dart.
B Site:
Defending B is not complicated. All you need to do is gather intel, as on B there were at least be a lurk player that you can get use of spotting. Even if you don’t reveal any players, that gives you the upper hand knowing they’re executing the opposite site. This dart will reveal everyone on B lobby and B main. It won’t reveal anyone towards mid or taking cover.
Just come over this corner next to the wooden boxes on B site and find that door referenced in the picture. Aim the corner of your charge bar just as shown in the picture in alignment of the door.
And then shoot a fully charged 1 bounce dart.
Mid:
Defending Mid is essential, especially in eco rounds where enemies tend to burst out into the executes with shotguns or classics. This dart will land very quickly on Mid and reveal everyone pushing out.
As soon as the barriers drop on B heaven, jump into this corner and find that orange triangle, aim just next to it as shown in the picture.
Then, shoot a fully charged 1 bounce dart.
Sova Lineups - Retakes
Retaking is a part of playing defense, but it reverses the roles as after you’ve lost site it’s almost like you’re attacking to open site again. With that, you need proper lineups and knowledge to corner attackers and ensure your team gets the lead when it comes to positions and info. Here are the best retaking lineups for Sova:
A Site:
Retaking A site is not easy. You have too many angles to worry about and you need to retake control of many areas, forcing you to split your focus and lose the round. We brought some really easy retake lineups, that are quick and safe that will help you win more rounds retaking A. This dart will reveal everyone on A site. It won’t reveal elbow or A main.
To do it, just come over to A Heaven and find this spot. Aiming at it,
Shoot a fully charged dart.
B Site:
Onto retaking B, it’s similarly hard but with much less to worry about if you’re using the right utility. This dart will land high on site making it hard to destroy and it will reveal most common post plant position on site.
Come over to B heaven, as long as you have line of sight to those 2 barrels. Aim right at them, and then
Shoot a fully charged dart.
