These lineups will cover all the important aspects such as attacking, defending, and even retaking. Whether you’re a veteran player or just starting out on the agent, this guide will be a step up and great help for your gameplay on Kayo while playing Split.
Kayo Knives Lineups - Attacking Side
While initiators are often associated with duelists, they play in a completely different way and adapt various possibilities than what a duelist player would. He is classified as a flasher initiator, meaning that you as a KAY/O need to assist the duelist’s entry, that can be by using precise flash lineups or even suppressing enemies with good knife spots that will help gather information and assist the execute. Here’s how you can utilize Kayo's lineups on attack:
Starting off with A site on the attacking side, this lineup will cover almost every position that you need to worry about with the exception of close angles that you may clear yourself as you execute the site.
To do it, you just need to come over to this corner by the barrier (left side) on A main and line up your crosshair just as shown with the building of A heaven. As you do that, all is left is to throw your knife.
Moving towards B side, this knife will land close right and clear everyone playing close angles, backsite or anywhere around pillar. It will also take a fraction of Heaven/Rafters which is very important for you to gather information and complete your execute.
To do it, just come over to this corner right next to Mid Link on B Lobby and aim your crosshair at this corner, then simply throw your knife, it’ll take a few seconds before it lands.
This knife lineup is perfect for getting a fast execute into B heaven because it will suppress and reveal everyone in that area and even a large portion of Vents, which if you’re smoking this should be the perfect go to lineup.
To do it, it’s very simple, quick and efficient. You just need to come over to this corner behind the boxes in middle and then throw your knife right at that corner, it could get destroyed but that’s unlikely unless defenders are playing in an aggressive position which in any case, you’ll gain advantage over them.
Kayo Knives Lineups - Defending Side
It might not seem inevitably clear how important an initiator like Kayo is on defense, but the reality is you play a key part in winning even defensive sides. Utilizing his ability kit to gather as much information as you can on the attacking team’s positioning and moves can be the game changer and lead to victory. Here are the best lineups to defend and gather early information and suppress enemies with Kayo:
Attackers often burst into site really quickly especially on A site, as a smoke cannot really hold down a full well-executed push. That’s why, this knife is perfect as it takes all of A lobby giving information and suppressing any kind of utility to be used which in return gives you the advantage defending A site.
To do it, come over to this corner on A heaven and aim your crosshair at this spot and then throw your knife.
This lineup on B site is indestructible and it covers the entirety of B lobby and a large portion of B main. As long as attackers are planning a hit on B site you will be able to scout them out with this knife.
To do it, come over to this spot on B Rafters and aim your crosshair just as shown in the picture. And then, throw your knife.
This lineup from Vents will land very quickly and take a toll on everyone playing around the middle area. If you want to make sure you have early information on Ecos (most commonly when enemies push mid) this lineup is for you.
To do it, just safely peek around the corner so slightly as shown and then throw your knife. It will land really high and most likely attackers will not be able to destroy it, at least, not from the first time.
Kayo Knives Lineups - Retakes
Retaking is a part of playing defense, but it reverses the roles as after you’ve lost site it’s almost like you’re attacking to open site again. With that, you need proper lineups and knowledge to corner attackers and ensure your team gets the lead when it comes to positions and info. Here are the best retaking lineups for Kayo:
Retaking A is very hard to retake especially when attackers have full control of different areas around, this lineup will give you the information you need to know what to watchout from and to execute your retake push.
To do it, you don’t need to be very precise but come around this corner and throw your knife right on that box.
On B site, the best retake knife is this one right next to the box on default that will reveal everyone around pillar with the exception of B main and B backsite.
It’s very simple and quick, comes to this corner and throw your knife.
