Best Clove Decay Lineups On Icebox

If you’re playing Clove and you feel the need to learn a few lineups so you can elevate your gameplay, you’ve come to the right place. Here, we will take you through the best Decay Meddle lineups you could use. While lineups aren’t mandatory to be a good smoker, it can be the differentiator between a good and a great one.
It can also improve your KDA as you no longer would have to stand right in the open with your Meddle or as we call it vulnerability in hand to try and hit it where you want. Safe to say it is much more efficient to learn a lineup or two.
In this guide, we will take you through key locations on Icebox that you can use the meddle on to increase your chances of winning your rounds and games, so let’s start:
Attacking Side
A Site
This first lineup on A might seem not much of use, but it is indeed one of the best you could use. The difference though, instead of going under and throwing it close, you can do it from the barriers where you’re safe.
To do this lineup, come over anywhere against the barrier towards belt and aim your crosshair as shown in the picture. Then, throw it.
B Site
For B site, don’t you worry, we’ve got an amazing lineup you could use. It lands on back site of B on icebox, which is incredibly useful especially when you’re performing an all out execute.
To do it, you need to come by the crane as shown in the picture and aim your crosshair at the corner of the green crane in the sky. Then, throw your decay.
Defensive Side
A Site
Retaking A is always tricky. This is because there can be enemies in many positions and that’s the reason many hate icebox. But, if you use this lineup you will be able to decay default and spam the box, allowing you to deal damage or get a free kill.
To do it, come anywhere on screens and aim the crosshair at the roof just like shown. Then, throw your lineup.
B Site
Over to B site, this lineup lands on the back of yellow which is guaranteed to hit an enemy as its one of the most commonly played positions. So next time you retake, this will elevate your play.
To do it, come to the position shown in the picture (perfect scenario if you’re rotating from A to B) and aim your crosshair just a little bit to the left from the crane. Then throw your lineup.
Clove Pro Tips
- As of the recent patches, Clove’s decay will not explode until it makes contact. This allows for these new lineups to come up, so don’t worry, you’re right in with this trend!
- With the recent Clove changes, your smokes take 40 seconds to recharge. This puts a lot of emphasis on using them only when you need to, and to not waste them unnecessarily.
- The Ability “Meddle” is the vulnerability orb that decays enemies, you may not recognize its name but it is better to as searching for this online will require the specific ability’s name.
- These lineups were designed to help you be in position to smoke site, don’t forget to do that before or right after you perform your lineup as you might hinder your teammates if you waste time on doing lineups without smoking.
- Decay is an ability that is best when used with other mollies to deal damage, you can never kill with a Clove decay but you can surely get a lot of assists and win the round if you combine that with a Raze nade or other mollies.
- Your decay can hit teammates, make sure you don’t hit your own team to avoid getting flamed and yelled at (who wants that, right?)
- As a Clove, you should always try to play in Mid or a position that allows you to smoke both sites. If you’re attacking, you just go with your team. If you’re defending, just stick to Mid or spawn.
