Map Pool Changes

Recently, VALORANT announced the shocking change to the map pool of the game. As we all know, last time around we had a change the map Split was readded as Bind and Breeze left the pool. It seems, that they will be maintaining this pattern as to 2 maps will always be outside of the pool.

VALORANT officially announced that Icebox will leave the map rotation and Bind will be re-added with the new changes made to it. That being, Icebox will be removed from the Competitive and Unrated modes. While Bind will be updated to the other modes except for Competitive to help players adapt before the changes come undone.

Bind Changes

If you’re wondering about the changes that VALORANT deployed in the newer version of Bind, there will be full details with before and after pictures in the tweet referenced.

To summarize, Bind had a few changes to small areas such as Teleports, Showers, A site and more.

Community Feedback

Removing Icebox was quite a controversial take, as most of the community love Icebox. On the other hand, many others hated Bind so Riot is quite brave to make a move swapping a loved for a hated map, but hopefully the changes will pay off.
