Kayo Knives Lineups - Attacking Side
While initiators are often associated with duelists, they play in a completely different way and adapt various possibilities than what a duelist player would. He is classified as a flasher initiator, meaning that you as a KAY/O need to assist the duelist’s entry, that can be by using precise flash lineups or even suppressing enemies with good knife spots that will help gather information and assist the execute. Here’s how you can utilize Kayo's lineups on attack:
Starting on A site, this knife will land on the ground right in front of the box that separates site. This will cover backsite, close angles such as short and close long, graffiti and a portion of A Heaven.
To do it, you simply need to head over to the wooden boxes in A lobby right in front of window and then align the tip of your knife logo (ability) with the tree just as shown. And then, throw your knife.
For C site, this knife will land in the middle of site revealing quite literally everyone on site. That includes a portion of Garage and CT, however, there is a little gap that defenders cannot get detected on in platform.
To do it, come against the corner in C lobby and then align the same logo once again to the rocks just like shown in the picture. We will use this logo multiple times as a reference for the next lineups, so keep on track of it!
When it comes to Mid, this knife will perfectly suppress and reveal everyone on Garage which will give you a good step ahead to execute your push. It does not reveal anyone on Garage window though, so keep that in mind.
To do it, simply head over to this box where it’s safe to throw your knife and aim at this corner and then throw your knife.
Kayo Knives Lineups - Defending Side
It might not seem inevitably clear how important an initiator like Kayo is on defense, but the reality is you play a key part in winning even defensive sides. Utilizing his ability kit to gather as much information as you can on the attacking team’s positioning and moves can be the game changer and lead to victory. Here are the best lineups to defend and gather early information and suppress enemies with Kayo:
Onto the defending side, this knife lineup will take your A defense line into a whole another level as it lands really high off the ground in A lobby revealing and suppressing anyone who’s hovering around that area. It’s perfect for early information towards A site.
To do it, come over to this corner (In CT) left corner and align your knife ability logo just as shown in the picture. Then, throw your knife.
This is the best lineup for C site if you are planning on gathering early information at the start of the round or possibly late round if you suspect enemies to execute C.
To do it, head to the right corner on CT and then line up your knife ability logo next to this edge just like in the picture.
When it comes to Mid, this is the perfect knife that you can perform securely and quickly to suppress & reveal everyone on mid window. Best used on eco rounds where enemies are likely to push mid.
To do it, come over to this corner and aim right at that spot then throw your knife.
Kayo Knives Lineups - Retakes
Retaking is a part of playing defense, but it reverses the roles as after you’ve lost site it’s almost like you’re attacking to open site again. With that, you need proper lineups and knowledge to corner attackers and ensure your team gets the lead when it comes to positions and info. Here are the best retaking lineups for Kayo:
This is one of the good options you have to use while performing a retake on A site. This will land high making it a perfect distraction and if it pings it’ll take care of everyone on graffiti and short.
To do it, come over to this corner as you rotate to A site and aim at this spot, then jump and throw your knife.
This retake knife is the best to use in C site as it lands unexpectedly on the ground next to default and reveals the most important parts of site.
To do it, come to this corner on the right as soon as you come out of B site (rotating to C0 and aim your crosshair just like that. And then, throw your knife.
