Mastering the art of stealth, defense, and information gathering is crucial. One agent who excels in these areas is Cypher, the master of surveillance. His key strength lies in his ability to control and manipulate information on the battlefield, with his Spycam, Trapwires, and Cyber Cages at his disposal. An essential part of his toolkit, the Cyber Cage, is a versatile asset that can be a game-changer in the right hands.

This article will explore the best cage lineups on Bind for Cypher in Valorant, diving into the details of how to place these obscure smokes to gain an edge over your opponents, restrict their movement, and dominate the battlefield. Whether you are a seasoned Cypher main or a beginner looking to expand your knowledge, these lineups will provide you with fresh perspectives and strategic insights to help you enhance your gameplay.

Cypher Defense Cage Lineups

This side relies heavily on you as a sentinel and site anchor, in most cases, you’ll be up against many enemies trying to enter your site and as a Cypher you’re equipped to cancel that out and possibly earn kills. Using your cages in good spots can result in easy and more efficient frags, so here are the best cage lineups you can use:

Starting over on A site, you will discover what the community calls “Rat Cages” as these lineups will help you become very sneaky, uphold a position that the enemy team will not clear and end up in a situation where you’re able to find more than 2 frags at least. This may be a challenge to your mechanicals, but that’s where the fun is.

Simply, head over to this spot on A site, and throw your cage in that exact spot. Once you activate it, you’ll also have a hidden corner on the wooden box where you can stay and wait for enemies to not clear you.

Feel free to use both cages there to extend the period for your own sake, if you wish.

This second lineup can be used on attack, as it aims for you to take lamps control and create a sneaky corner for you to instantly surprise anyone trying to take control of the lamps area.

To do it, come over to this corner, and then aim at that spot of the building (left lamp) and then throw your cage. It will land on the corner in front of truck, and from there you can take your position on lamps and activate the trap once you see fit.

This third cage lineup might be a bit cheeky but it will surely confuse your enemies, and most importantly, get the job done for you. It lands on top of the boxes next to showers, activating it will create a small pathway in showers while also covering the top spot. This ensures to possibly lead enemies to think, that you’re using it solely because there’s someone hiding up there. Which, you could.

To do it, come over to A heaven, stand on the corner, and then lineup your right HUD bar with this spot on showers, and throw your cage. It will land exactly on top of the boxes.

Over to B site, this is a popular cypher cage that you can use to surprise anyone executing B site on Hookah specifically. It creates a small off angle that you can take sitting on the right corner of Hookah, which enemies often might not clear.

To do it, simply throw your cage in this corner. Then, as you activate it, climb and make your way to the corner and then hold for enemies when they approach.

Similarly to the cage on hookah, this will be for long. It will give you more options, as you can either play on Garden with the corner it creates or on cubby close left. Either way, you can get a play off this cage which will ensure at least a pick.

Simply come over to this corner, throw your cage right at that spot. Then, all you need to do is activate it and play around it.

If you like to play more passive, here is a cage lineup that is more towards site to help you hold down without needing to take early fights or aggress a lot. It’ll be a good decoy as it looks like a “bad elbow cage” when in reality it is a good cage for the corner on green boxes.

To do it, come over to this spot and throw your cage in front of the metal door. Just on that spot, and activate it whenever you see fit.

cypher_bind_cage_b_4

Similarly to the last lineup, this cage is more on the passive end, placed from elbow / CT and able to create a little corner on site that you could use to potentially strike you enemies off guard.

To do it, come over to Elbow then find this corner and simply place your trip in front of it. As you activate it, there will be that corner to play on in site.

Pro Tip: Make sure you’re always aware of your gun models, as if the corner that’s created by a cage is too tight or small, looking directly into enemies might present your gun. To avoid that, always look against the wall or try to not equip a gun while hidden (unpreferred)
