Why Killjoy Is No Longer Playable
Valorant's 10.01 patch is now live, bringing some much-needed fixes for the new agent Tejo and introducing Rank Shields. However, some fans are raising concerns that certain major issues have been overlooked.
Tejo, the Colombian initiator, has been in the game for just over two weeks, and Riot Games has already had to step in with adjustments.
The January 21 patch addressed issues with how Tejo's abilities interact with Sage's Barrier Orb and Slow Orb. It also resolved a bug where his Artillery Missile would appear stuck if it landed outside the map.
While these updates have been welcomed by some players, others feel significant problems remain unaddressed—particularly if you’re a Killjoy main.
So, what is the issue?
Many players have pointed out that Riot hasn’t tackled the damage Tejo’s missiles can deal to Killjoy’s Lockdown Ultimate.
As a killjoy main, you will be very frustrated to know that Tejo's missles alone can break your ultimate, an 8 point one that is.
Rank Shields Add To It
Aside from the Tejo fixes, the highlight of patch 10.01 is the introduction of Rank Shields, designed to protect players’ Ranked status.
While this feature has been better received, some fans feel two Rank Shields might be overkill, especially since League of Legends only has one.
For now, the patch has sparked mixed feelings in the community, with some fans satisfied with the changes and others eagerly awaiting further adjustments.
