Everything You Need To Know About VALORANT's Newest Banwave

Riot Developers previously confirmed that VALORANT is facing an increased number of cheaters, although that is the case thankfully they took anti-cheating measures like launching ban waves or improving Vanguard's detection system. This made it a lot more tolerable and playable on the ongoing fight between cheaters and Riot Devs.
500k Ban Wave
Another bot ban wave has been rolled out in VALORANT, this time taking down approximately 500,000 accounts worldwide.
For those who haven’t manually leveled their accounts, the ban has been correctly applied, and the in-game notification shown in the tweet will confirm it. To keep the game fair and free of bots, these ban waves will now be happening every two weeks.
This intends to counter the ongoing bot problem in VALORANT where leveling of an account would be done automatically so that it play ranked faster and therefore get sold to smurfs or cheaters that recycle these type of accounts quickly.
Adding to the cheating problem, Twitch recently updated their enforcement system where the severity of "cheating" on stream is now low and not considered enough for a major punishment.
This is very bad for games like VALORANT because cheaters rely on marketing to sell their cheats and they already got so popular through the usage of social media like Tiktok Streams, Youtube Streams and more.
This will set a bad standard that may allow more people to find cheating accessible, increasing the appeal to it and making it harder for us players to enjoy the game.
Another Type Of Cheating
Cheating through third party applications has always been the center of the talk due to how damaging it is to the gaming community, but there is another type of cheats that a Riot Dev has shed some light on.
There are cheats that help you unlock certain skins in-game, it does that by modifying game files the same way a third-party app does which makes it very difficult for the devs to differentiate between those who are cheating for skins or simply using hacks like aimbot and wallhacks.
This made Riot give a final warning to those who use these cheats, as if they don't stop they will be facing a much more severe penalty on the upcoming times.
