Vyse is one of the newer agents in the game, although she has been out for a while it’s still rare to see someone utilizing her to her maximum capability. In this guide, we will show you how to use Vyse, with creative defending and attacking setups.

Defending Side

A Site

Want enemies to stop pushing A? This setup is sure to make them hate you and the site altogether.

Place your thorns on short, so that you can monitor both choke points.

Put your wall on A long’s entrance, as it is the main choke point enemies come out from.

Have your flash ready high up above heaven window, and activate it when you’re taking a fight.

Over to B site, this will be your most ideal position. As the site is very compact and narrow, you don’t really want to sit in it.

Place your wall right on the choke point to delay enemies as long as you can.

Place your thorns on default, it will branch out to both left and right which makes it great.

Have your flash put from A link, and activate it when you plan to peek out preferably with your teammates.

C Site

On C site you’re king. You have plenty of room to work with and many creative setups you can create. Just make sure your teammates are holding garage for you!

Angle your wall on C long’s choke point so it’s not easy to bait

Place your thorns on default in case enemies decide to plant even if they don't have full site control.

Place your flash very high up on back site and activate it when taking fights

Attacking Side

A Site

Over to A site on the attacking side, you really want to settle for an aggressive post plant here.

Place your wall back on A lobby to prevent anyone from flanking undetected

Then flash through the wall on the right side, preferably high so you can catch enemies on back site.

Place your thorns either back site if you wanna be aggressive, or on spike and activate it when you see fit.

C Site

For C site, it is simple. All the same, you want to:

Place your wall for flank on C lobby

Flash high through the wall, make sure it hits back site and platform as this is crucial

Finally place your thorns on the spike and activate it when you are fighting the retake

Pro Tips

Vyse’s wall is a very versatile ability. It’s not just used to defend a site, but also to detect flanks on the attacking side. When you place the wall, it will alert you if anyone walks through, working like a perfect Cypher trip.
Your flash can be placed through walls. So even through a thicker wall you could still place it and use it. Although it has a little bit of time before it activates so you will not be able to use it as a fast paced flash.
Remember that your abilities can still deal damage to you, so make sure you understand Vyse’s mechanics to not get caught off guard from your own abilities.
Enemies can still move through your thorns (Molly) if they shift (walk) so make sure you are aware of that. It will make no sound if enemies are just walking through your molly.
Because your flash is made to be set up, you can use the flash with your gun out which makes it incredibly powerful especially when you’re defending a site. Use that to your advantage.
Your ultimate blocks enemies from using primary weapons. But they can still use pistols and ultimates, so beware from a Jett or an ulted Chamber that will peek you after your ability has hit them.
Try to not waste your abilities on attack until you’ve secured a plant on site. As before, it is difficult for you to get value without lurking. As a Vyse, you should lurk or set up for post plant with your abilities on the attacking side.
