Mastering the art of stealth, defense, and information gathering is crucial. One agent who excels in these areas is Cypher, the master of surveillance. His key strength lies in his ability to control and manipulate information on the battlefield, with his Spycam, Trapwires, and Cyber Cages at his disposal. An essential part of his toolkit, the Cyber Cage, is a versatile asset that can be a game-changer in the right hands. This article will explore the best cage lineups on Lotus for Cypher in Valorant, diving into the details of how to place these obscure smokes to gain an edge over your opponents, restrict their movement, and dominate the battlefield. Whether you are a seasoned Cypher main or a beginner looking to expand your knowledge, these lineups will provide you with fresh perspectives and strategic insights to help you enhance your gameplay.

Cypher Defense Cage Lineups

This side relies heavily on you as a sentinel and site anchor, in most cases, you’ll be up against many enemies trying to enter your site and as a Cypher you’re equipped to cancel that out and possibly earn kills. Using your cages in good spots can result in easy and more efficient frags, so here are the best cage lineups you can use:

Starting off in A site, this one way will definitely elevate your gameplay as it sparks an undefeatable one way towards Tree which is a heavy area that attackers will try to contest. With that one way, you can play off in Drop or backsite, preferably drop to allow yourself a few kills without getting traded or punished.

Doing it is very simple, come over to this corner right under this imprinted statue and aim at that spot, then throw your cage. It will land exactly as shown in the picture, and then you can activate it accordingly.

The second lineup on A site will be a one way for those who trying to access site through main, which is very likely. It allows you to play off a unique position, although, you will definitely need to have somebody secure tree for you or place a trip there so that if you’re getting pinched you could be aware of it and save yourself. It’s also possible that you put a one way cage on Tree and Main, and play on both sides accordingly.

To perform that lineup, come over to this corner, and aim your crosshair right at that spot. Then, simply throw your cage. It will land on top of that rock creating a unique one way to fight over anyone pushing to site.

cypher_cage_b

Moving over to B site, you will discover 2 “rat” cages instead of one ways as It’s very difficult to land a one way in this site. These cages will allow you to play in unexpected positions and create funny and awesome plays when it comes down to it.

To do the first cage, you can simply throw it at this spot next to waterfall. This will create a little spot next to the wooden box which you can use to hide. This is especially good because the cage will look like a smoke-off to the waterfall link area, making it more likely to workout.

This second rat cage will allow you to most definitely surprise enemies as it’ll give you a little corner to peek off that nobody would expect. Especially when the cage functions as a B Link smoke, nobody will see it coming which can easily lend you the advantage of the fight.

To do it, come over to this corner and throw your cage just like so. And then, that will create a corner to the left, allowing you to walk out into site and be ready to take on an initial peek without enemies necessarily expecting it. Although, be careful of getting instantly traded.

cypher_cage_c

Moving over to C site, this lineup will help you create an amazing one way that will allow you to pick enemies apart playing towards back site behind the wooden boxes. Although it won’t cover the entirety of Main, it can still help you isolate fights and earn picks.

To do it, come over to this corner and line up the first HUD line in your utility bar with the rotating door just as shown in the picture. And then, simpy, throw your cage. It will land on the edge and allow for an incredible one way.

Similarly to the last lineup, this will be another one way for C main but this time it’ll be on the left side instead. Whether you choose to use this lineup on its own or pair it with the previous one to create a full one way for C main, it will work great and serve you a few kills at ease.

To do it, come over to this corner, just on the opposite side of where you stood initially for the previous lineup, and aim your crosshair at this spot. Then simply throw your cage.

cypher_cage_c_3

This third and last lineup for C site, it will be best used for a postplant site execution to prevent any retakes from the defending enemy team. As this creates a one way on waterfall which gives you full vision on anyone standing there.

To do it, you will need to walk a bit into waterfall and aim at that spot, then throw your cage and trace back your steps, activate as soon as you’re ready to fight off retakers.
