No BlizzCon Scheduled for 2024
Blizzard has announced that there will be no BlizzCon in 2024. The decision was made after careful consideration over the past year. While the company acknowledges the event's special significance, it assures fans that exciting future editions are planned.
BlizzCon is an annual event that showcases Blizzard's upcoming projects and brings together its gaming community through various panels and presentations. The event had been canceled from 2020 to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but made a comeback last November. The return was highly anticipated, especially following Microsoft's acquisition of the company just weeks before.
Despite the absence of BlizzCon this year, Blizzard will still reveal updates on major titles like World of Warcraft: The War Within and Diablo IV's first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, at the Gamescom event in Cologne. Additionally, a series of in-person events are set to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of Warcraft.
