Hytale Early Access Will Launch at Low Price

Hytale, the long-delayed sandbox RPG, will launch its early access version at a price of $19.99. Simon Collins-Laflamme, director of the game, said this price is “aggressively low” to make the game accessible to as many players as possible. Charging more for the current version was considered unfair after the project was rescued from cancellation.
After reacquiring Hytale from Riot, Hypixel rebuilt the game with a team of around 50 developers. Collins-Laflamme said the team took significant personal risk to bring the project back to life. He added that the team is committed to improving the game, which is still not fully ready, and plans to continue developing it until it reaches a high standard.
The Game Isn't Ready, But Will Launch
The development pace has increased since Hypixel took control of the project. Collins-Laflamme emphasized that the vision for the game is clear and that the team is focused on delivering a polished and enjoyable experience.
Hytale’s official X page confirmed the $19.99 early access price on November 21. The low price is intended to allow as many players as possible to join in and experience the game’s next stage of development. Collins-Laflamme said the goal is to give everyone a fair chance to be part of Hytale as it continues to grow.
The decision reflects Hypixel’s commitment to community and accessibility, aiming to create a strong foundation of players while development continues. Fans of sandbox and block-based games can expect continued updates and improvements in the months ahead as the team works to make the game great.
