Defending Side

A Site

If you’re willing to give enemies a hard time when they’re A, this is the setup you should use.

Place your wall deep in main, this is to ensure that no one can walk through without having to break it first.

Follow it up with a sound sensor on both the walk in of A site and tree. You should play tree to anchor the position and get kills off it.

B Site

Moving to B site, you really want to check this out as it will give you free kills everytime enemies come your way. Do this:

Place your wall on B main and play on C link

Have one of your sound sensors on default and the other or site (under upper) and play off it. Teammates can also utilize your sensors from A link and upper.

C Site

Lastly for defense is C site, and this is where deadlock is strongest on Lotus. Here’s what you should do:

Place your wall on main, pair it with a sound sensor from the right side (wooden boxes)

Place another sound sensor in front of bend, as this is where you’ll be playing and you can punish anyone who walks up to you.

Attacking Side

A Site

Attacking as a deadlock is always tricky, because you can’t really hold flank like other sentinels. But here’s what you can do:

Throw your wall on Stairs, blocking anyone from walking out as you take site. Although beware it does not block enemies from shooting you, so it’s best to smoke it as well.

Throw your gravnet on back site or tree if you see enemies there.

For post plant, use your sound sensors on site and default and play off it.

C Site

To attack C site, there is one thing that will transform your executes:

A gravnet on Bend, combined with a nade from a raze will demolish any player there.

Follow that up with a wall on waterfall to block enemies from retaking easily.

Then place your sound sensors on pillar (site) and on the cross from waterfall. And this will be the easiest post plant scenario.

Pro Tips

  • Remember that using your wall ability, each section can be broken separately and it can be done in less time than breaking it all at once. This means enemies can break one section quickly to pass through, being aware of this helps you predict upcoming danger.

  • The audio sensor activates whenever a player produces an audio cue, this means if you place it for flank and enemies shift or slowly walk through it they will be completely undetected. Deadlock is weak when it comes to setting traps for flank as it can get dodged.

  • GravNet (C) which is the ability that allows you to force crouch enemies can be canceled in some circumstances like an Omen teleporting or such. Don’t expect enemies to stay crouched after casting a certain ability.

  • Enemies can easily dodge the sound sensors when they know where it is placed on site, meaning you should always re-arrange your setups and add your touch to the given setups in order to maximize the agent’s efficiency.

  • Deadlock’s ultimate can bounce off walls to get to a desired position, so in case you had an enemy running away from you make sure to try and hunt them down with an ultimate trick shot!

  • A common use for Deadlock’s ultimate in post plant one versus one is to enable it and not shoot it until you see the enemy.Usually with the range of the ability you can secure the kill even after being vulnerable for a few seconds after launching it.

  • To properly secure holding sites, make sure you are buying the correct loadout for the purpose you are aiming for in a certain round. If you are going for kills, then place your sound sensors in cheeky spots and peek off them.

  • The sound sensor can be tricked just like the killjoy turret and chamber trip, if you hear it alerted that doesn’t mean it launched or caught an enemy as they can simply retreat and hold your peek.
