Best Clove Decay Lineups On Split

If you’re playing Clove and you feel the need to learn a few lineups so you can elevate your gameplay, you’ve come to the right place. Here, we will take you through the best Decay Meddle lineups you could use. While lineups aren’t mandatory to be a good smoker, it can be the differentiator between a good and a great one.
It can also improve your KDA as you no longer would have to stand right in the open with your Meddle or as we call it vulnerability in hand to try and hit it where you want. Safe to say it is much more efficient to learn a lineup or two.
In this guide, we will take you through key locations on Split that you can use the meddle on to increase your chances of winning your rounds and games, so let’s start:
Attack Side
A Site
This lineup is amazing for A site, because it is easy, quick, and most certainly effective. All you have to do to perform this lineup is sit in A lobby and hit it on heaven directly.
To do it, preferably come to this position and aim your crosshair just above the wall as shown in the picture then send your decay and it will land on heaven.
B Site
This lineup is very unique. It lands on Rafters, not heaven, rafters specifically. This is useful because enemies who walk out of Heaven usually take that spot.
To do it, come around this spot in B lobby and aim your crosshair at pillar just as shown in the picture, then throw your decay. It will bounce off, don’t worry.
Defense Side
A Site
If you are trying to retake A site, this lineup will definitely ensure that you clear Elbow with your decay. And it is guaranteed to hit an enemy as this is one of the most commonly played positions by attackers.
To do it, come to the corner on CT as shown and aim your crosshair anywhere on the lining of the huge building. Then throw your decay.
B Site
This lineup is the final boss of B site retake. It lands towards back site, which is a hard angle to clear. But with this lineup, all you have to do is combine that with a raze nade or any sort of molly and you’d clear it completely.
To do it, come to the left of the B letter on CT and aim your crosshair as shown. Then, throw it, it will take 1-2 seconds before landing.
Clove Pro Tips
- As of the recent patches, Clove’s decay will not explode until it makes contact. This allows for these new lineups to come up, so don’t worry, you’re right in with this trend!
- With the recent Clove changes, your smokes take 40 seconds to recharge. This puts a lot of emphasis on using them only when you need to, and to not waste them unnecessarily.
- The Ability “Meddle” is the vulnerability orb that decays enemies, you may not recognize its name but it is better to as searching for this online will require the specific ability’s name.
- These lineups were designed to help you be in position to smoke site, don’t forget to do that before or right after you perform your lineup as you might hinder your teammates if you waste time on doing lineups without smoking.
- Decay is an ability that is best when used with other mollies to deal damage, you can never kill with a Clove decay but you can surely get a lot of assists and win the round if you combine that with a Raze nade or other mollies.
- Your decay can hit teammates, make sure you don’t hit your own team to avoid getting flamed and yelled at (who wants that, right?)
- As a Clove, you should always try to play in Mid or a position that allows you to smoke both sites. If you’re attacking, you just go with your team. If you’re defending, just stick to Mid or spawn.
