Valorant Bug Is Causing Everyone Lag & How To Fix It

For a while now, there has been a really bad bug that consistently happens when you alt tab from Valorant to other tabs. It essentially causes you to lag out showing a "network problem" badge, packet loss, or else. 

What Is The Bug?

The way this works, if you have a specific option enabled in the settings of Valorant, as soon as you alt tab or switch to any other window in your windows and then go back to Valorant the game will just lag whether it completely doesn't register you or start frame skipping, micro teleporting you or some other issues may occur. 

Easy Fix

While this is incredibly annoying, don't worry, it is easily fixable! And here's how. All you have to do is head to the Video settings in Valorant and make sure you have no set limits on. 

In the "Video" tab you want to make sure you're in General and from there you want to tick the "off" box for any frame limiter that may work in the background or ingame. Now they may seem unrelated, but the fact is, by disabling those you will eliminate the bug immediately. 

Abuse Of Bug

This bug or glitch is annoying, sure, but that is not the issue. It can also play a competitive advantage to those who have it. Yes, you read that right. You will ask how will lag give you an upper hand? 

In this bug, after you alt tab your game basically freezes you or disconnects your player, while you are still able to move around the map. In some occassions, you can see enemy positions while you are still in spawn or wherever you lagged out from. More like free cam hacks. 

This urges Riot to fix the bug as soon as possible not only for convenience but also for the competitive integrity of the game
