Sova Lineups - Attacking Side
While initiators are often associated with duelists, they play in a completely different way and adapt various possibilities than what a duelist player would. Sova is classified as an information initiator, unlike the flasher initiators who are more focused to find ways to flash for their duelist’s entry, you as a sova try to find the gaps in the enemy team and gather information that your team can use to open and execute sites a lot more effectively. Here’s how you can utilize Sova's lineups on attack:
A Site:
Attacking A site on Fracture is one of the most painful moments that you can remark. One of the reasons fracture receives a lot of hate is due to its strange design that makes it sometimes intolerable to play through. But these darts will ease your pain and make your executes look a lot cleaner and smoother. This dart, will reveal everyone on A main. It’s mostly to detect operator players or early peekers, it won’t reveal players on site.
To do it, you need to come to A main and find this spot. The wall right next to the logo, spot the corner shown in the picture and then,
Shoot a fully charged 2 bounces dart. It will land above the boxes on A main.
B Site:
This lineup is the absolute end game when it comes to executing B site. Not only does it cover all the common spots defenders may tuck in, from green boxes, default, to Tower. But it also is a very hard to destroy arrow as it lands on a high spot that might catch defenders off guard. It won’t reveal anyone on canteen or close angles.
To do that arrow, simply stand here at the corner of these metal boxes on B lobby and then make sure you crouch before shooting the arrow, aim right at that corner just like the picture
And perform a fully charged 1 bounce dart.
Sova Lineups - Defending Side
It might not seem inevitably clear how important an initiator like Sova is on defense, but the reality is you play a key part in winning even defensive sides. Utilizing Sova’s ability kit to gather as much information as you can on the attacking team’s positioning and moves can be the game changer and lead to victory. Here are the best lineups to defend and gather early information with Sova:
A Site:
Defending In fracture is very information reliant. The attacking team can very possibly, have the upper hand as there are 2 ways to approach each site in compensation for the lack of middle structure on this map. That’s why, these darts that will give you early information and guarantee you a step ahead of your enemy are key. Here’s an arrow that will reveal everyone on A lobby.
To do this dart, come to ropes and stay just by this corner. You can also do it before the barrier drops, this is aligned to where the barrier is.
Then, aim your crosshair at that corner of the door. Wait for the barrier to drop and then
Shoot a fully charged 2 bounce arrow.
Extra: You can also use this exact lineup, for an early damage shockdart. So if you’re looking to save your arrow for retake, it might be viable to just shoot a shockdart using this lineup.
B Site:
This next lineup is almost impossible to destroy. That is due to the fact that it’s very hard from a defender’s perspective to see it coming. It lands really high on one of the trees of B lobby that you probably don’t even know existed, hence, it has a guaranteed ping for information almost everytime. It reveals everyone on B lobby.
All you have to do is come to the left corner of B Towers, find this corner referenced in the picture and align the top-left corner of your MOUSE HUD with it, then,
Shoot a double charged dart.
Sova Lineups - Retakes
Retaking is a part of playing defense, but it reverses the roles as after you’ve lost site it’s almost like you’re attacking to open site again. With that, you need proper lineups and knowledge to corner attackers and ensure your team gets the lead when it comes to positions and info. Here are the best retaking lineups for Sova:
A Site:
Retaking A site is tricky. Sometimes, attackers may take space forcing you to have a harder time trying to reobtain the lost areas. Here’s a dart that will clear everyone closer as you execute retake A site, revealing everyone on stairs, dish, and possibly sand. It won’t reveal main or backsite.
Doing this lineup is the simplest, all you have to do is come here on CT where you can find line of sight to exactly where the crosshair is aiming at in the picture. As you do that,
Shoot a fully charged arrow.
Here is a second arrow to retake A site which is most efficient if the enemy team is playing post plant, especially if they have utility such as brimstone ultimate or lineups. This will reveal everyone on A main.
Simply look at the corner of the door standing in ropes just like the picture shows, and then
Shoot a fully charged dart.
B Site:
This is the godlike arrow that you used to reveal B site with, but, for retaking it this time.
Look at the corner referenced in the picture, and then simply shoot a
One bounce fully charged dart.
