Best Waylay Lineups On Icebox

VALORANT’s newest agents happens to be a duelist, and a very unique one when it comes to kit and abilities. Waylay, has an unseen combination of abilities that can unlock various playstyles whether it be passive, aggressive, or a mix of both.
This guide will specifically show you lineups for Waylay’s Saturate Ability, as it acts similar to Phoenix mollies which can lead to very useful lineups that can help you step up your duels. So let’s dig in the best Waylay Lineups on Icebox:
Lineups
A Site - Attack
This lineup on A site will help you take down any enemy playing on Generator. Usually, this is where a Viper or a Sentinel player would be, so using this simple safe lineup is a good idea.
To do this lineup, all you have to do is come up close on A main and aim your crosshair just a little down of pipes. Then, do a jumping throw.
A Site - Defense
When you’re retaking A site, this lineup will come in handy. It hits default, which is guaranteed to catch an enemy in that position.
Simply come anywhere behind screens, aim your crosshair as shown in the picture and throw your saturate orb.
B Site - Attack
On B site, the most concerning angle when you’re pushing site is yellow. With Waylay’s dash mechanic, you can use this lineup and follow it up easily to get your kill.
Come anywhere on B main behind the crane and aim your crosshair in the middle, then do a jumping throw.
B Site - Defense
Lastly this is how you will earn a pick everytime you retake B site. By hindering the back of yellow, where enemies always set position in post plants, you boost your chances of winning the round.
Make sure you are safe on back site, aim your crosshair as shown in the picture and then do a jumping throw.
Waylay’s Abilities

Waylay Pro Tips
- Waylay’s abilities can also affect teammates, this includes Saturate and her ultimate. So when you use it make sure it is not going to impact your team negatively, otherwise it might lead to some angry teammates
- Only Waylay’s first dash can go upwards, this means that you either use both dashes forward (can be in any direction you aim at) or use the first one to go up like a Jett’s updraft + dash combo
- You can opt to use 1 dash if you need by pressing right click instead of left click. This can be useful if you are looking to a certain distance
- Waylay is still new, meaning that her playstyle is yet to be shaped, don’t be limited to a specific style (aggressive or passive) find what you can perform with best
- Waylay’s ultimate takes a few seconds to activate, so keep in mind that it is easy to dodge if the area was not narrow or if enemies were not stunned
- To get the habit of using her “Saturate” ability quickly and without any struggle, we recommend assigning that ability key to a mouse button as it is easier to access and use in gun fights / duels
- While your Retract ability can help you escape gun fights without taking damage, keep in mind players can still headshot you or kill you before if you don’t do it quickly enough, do not take it for granted
