Deadlock has been growing in playrate in both ranked and high level professional scene, this is due to her ability to create unique plays that are defensive yet aggressive if needed. Speaking of aggressiveness, here we will show you the best GravNet ( C ) and ultimate lineups on Pearl:

GravNet Lineups

A Site

Usage: This lineup is going to be particularly useful if you plan to punish any defender pushing up A main.

Where to stand: Simply come over either next to the wooden box or on top of the ledge on A lobby and aim your crosshair as shown. Then do, a jump throw.

Usage: This second lineup is tailored to hit back site on A, which is the most commonly played position as sentinels or site defenders will take cover there. This can also hit the defenders going out from secret or CT, all the more reason to use it.

Where to stand: Align yourself to the corner of the wooden box on A main and go back till you hit the wall, then aim your crosshair as shown in the picture and do a jumping throw.

B Site

Usage: This lineup on B site is devastating for defenders, it lands in the middle of site taking up anyone in that area. So if you are executing, it is a valid option. It also will almost always capture enemies by surprise.

Where to stand: Align yourself to the corner on B lobby as shown in the picture and aim your crosshair just below the lamp, then do a jumping throw.

Mid

Usage: This lineup is very simple, quick and effective. It will land fast on Art and it crouches anyone playing there even around the wooden box. This gives your duelist a lot of room to enter and get a free kill.

Where to stand: Come anywhere near the window on Art’s building and simply aim your crosshair at the lining on the roof, then do a normal throw. Make sure to time it well with your duelist’s entry.

Ultimate Lineups

A Site

deadlock_setups_pearl_ult_a

Usage: This ultimate will hit back site, which is an easy entry for you in case you were struggling to go site. It will capture anyone playing there, all you have to do is use it to get space on site.

Where to stand: Come to the corner (cubby) on A main, and aim your ultimate against dugout just as shown in the picture. Then, shoot your ultimate.

B Site

Usage: Using your ultimate on B is often tricky because there are many angles to cover, but this one is what you should prioritize most. Which is Link, as enemies will always come to retake through that spot.

Where to stand: Come anywhere on B long and make sure you are safe from halls or screens, then aim your crosshair as shown in the picture.

Deadlock Pro Tips

  • Remember that using your wall ability, each section can be broken separately and it can be done in less time than breaking it all at once. This means enemies can break one section quickly to pass through, being aware of this helps you predict upcoming danger.

  • The audio sensor activates whenever a player produces an audio cue, this means if you place it for flank and enemies shift or slowly walk through it they will be completely undetected. Deadlock is weak when it comes to setting traps for flank as it can get dodged.

  • GravNet (C) which is the ability that allows you to force crouch enemies can be canceled in some circumstances like an Omen teleporting or such. Don’t expect enemies to stay crouched after casting a certain ability.

  • Enemies can easily dodge the sound sensors when they know where it is placed on site, meaning you should always re-arrange your setups and add your touch to the given setups in order to maximize the agent’s efficiency.

  • Deadlock’s ultimate can bounce off walls to get to a desired position, so in case you had an enemy running away from you make sure to try and hunt them down with an ultimate trick shot!

  • A common use for Deadlock’s ultimate in post plant one versus one is to enable it and not shoot it until you see the enemy.Usually with the range of the ability you can secure the kill even after being vulnerable for a few seconds after launching it.

  • To properly secure holding sites, make sure you are buying the correct loadout for the purpose you are aiming for in a certain round. If you are going for kills, then place your sound sensors in cheeky spots and peek off them.

  • The sound sensor can be tricked just like the killjoy turret and chamber trip, if you hear it alerted that doesn’t mean it launched or caught an enemy as they can simply retreat and hold your peek.
