Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to the character, this guide will provide you with valuable insights and strategies to dominate your opponents on this map. From defending the bomb sites to setting up sneaky traps, we'll cover everything you need to know to become a master of Lotus as Killjoy. So, put on your thinking cap, grab your toolbox, and let's get started!

Killjoy Setups - Attacking Side

While Killjoy is often associated with defensive playstyles, she can also be a valuable asset for the attacking team on this map. With her unique abilities, Killjoy can help control areas of the map and create opportunities for her team to push towards the enemy's territory. Especially when it comes to lurking which is commonly known as “rat gameplay” but yet one of the most effective ways to manipulate your attacking side. We will show you the best ways you can use Killjoy on Lotus Attack:

A Site:

When we are talking about Killjoy on the attacking side, we’re most likely referring to a way you can “lurk” and manipulate the outcome of the round as a sentinel. Now there are two ways to lurk, you can either fast lurk which is to instantly push after your teammates make a presence in the planned site, or late lurk which is when you wait to ensure no enemies are holding you.

Now specifically speaking about the shown set up, you will be always using the middle site (B) to initiate all of your lurks as it is the complete center of the map. Starting with a hit into A site,

Place your turret towards C from Spawn and walk into B site following the path shown in the picture.

Place an alarm bot in the area shown to prevent being caught off guard by any flanks or late rotations and proceed to A.

There, you have 2 ways to go through, either Heaven and straight into site or CT and straight into the plant.

Once you’ve made your play, don’t forget to place your swamp grenades (molly) to cover the spike and give yourself extra time to play with.

Pro Tip: You don’t need to find a pixel perfect lineup to play postplant with your mollies, killjoy mollies go through walls so all you need to do is to get it around the spike.

B Site:

When you’re hitting B site there isn’t much lurking you can do unless you’re planning to do it from either C or A site which can be rather difficult, so we will teach you an amazing setup to hold your B site after planting.

Start by placing an alarm bot next to CT coming from Waterfall and place a molly on the spike and one next to the alarm bot.

Once the alarm bot triggers you can activate the first molly and keep the second one for pure post plant on the spike tap.

You can place your turret anywhere covering your flank from A or C.

C Site:

If you’re attacking C you have plenty of room to play of, start by placing your turret in spawn towards C site and walk up with the path shown in the picture while placing an alarm bot behind you to be alerted in case any late rotations or flank come through.

You can either go to waterfall or CT, although it is more efficient to take waterfalls and use your mollies to delay any spike defusal.

Killjoy Setups - Defending Side

With Killjoy’s unique kit of abilities, she is a valuable asset for any team looking to defend key areas of the map. Her skills allow her to set up traps and control areas of the map, making it difficult for the enemy team to push forward. But you can only do so much when you’re lacking knowledge as to how to place your utility right, so here are the best killjoy setups to defend your site on Lotus:

A Site:

When you’re trying to defend A site you have to take care of both A Tree (doors) and A Long as both are freeways into A site.

Place a turret on top of the wooden boxes to take care of A long or at least gain early information if enemies are hitting A site. Then place an alarm bot combined with a molly right on doors in tree to detonate as soon as the bot activates and delay any entries to that area.

Finally place a molly on site, right in the middle to cover for both planting spots. As you previously saw, killjoy mollies’ damage can go through walls allowing you to do this setup.

B Site:

Moving onto B site, place a turret towards the little room from A long to cover for both A long door push or B main push.

Then place an alarm bot on the stairs with two mollies on the right side as it’s where players commonly plant and head toward.

C Site:

Into C site, your strategy will be to isolate the duelist entry from the rest of the team. You can do that by placing a molly at the entrance with an alarm bot in the middle and a molly at the end right behind the wooden box.

What this does is isolate the satcheling or dashing raze from the rest of the team, putting them both in mollies and vulnerability.

Then place your turret on top of the wooden box next to CT to add extra pressure.

Killjoy Setups - Attack Ultimate Spots

One of Killjoy’s key abilities is her ultimate which allows her to force enemies out to obtain control and space. Her ultimate is superior when taking a site, It is a free card to plant the spike in most cases. However, you do need to consider where you are going to place your ultimate as it has a certain range which if placed improperly will not benefit you as much. Here are the most common ultimate spots for killjoy on the attacking side:

A Site:

This will be the best ultimate spot for A site. You can either place it here or in Tree by taking control over that area but that is far more dangerous, so all you need to do is secure A long and place it right here.

It will cover the entire site except of drop, which you can learn a lineup or just directly throw a molly at for a free kill.

B Site:

B site is the go to when you have a Killjoy ultimate as it’s the hardest to retake and to defend against the ultimate.

By placing it in the corner shown you will cover the entirety of site with huge portions out of site that will push enemies even more out of their territory.

C Site:

On C, you need to take control of C long and place it in the corner shown in the picture.

It will clear the entirety of site with a huge portion of both waterfall and CT which will grand you an easy entry to site as long as you protect the ultimate from any aggression coming from the defenders.
